This matcha has vibrant green when it’s prepared right temperature of water. It also has sweet aroma and rich in umami which makes it naturally low in bitterness.

I recently (within the past year) lived in a city in Japan that was famous for its green tea(and matcha), so take this review with that in mind. I’m just about out of the teabags that I brought back with me when I moved, so I was hoping to replace them with something comparable. This might be the closest I can get here without going through an importer, but it’s a bit of a step down. I also know that the tea grower I spoke with in Japan said that organic teas have a much weaker flavor profile (and I am comparing this to non-organic tea bags). Let me describe my experience: The bag is much larger than I thought it would be and I was pleasantly surprised with how many teabags I got. When I first opened the bag and smelled, however, I was a little worried. There’s not much aroma at all. With my morning nose (a little stuffy) I can hardly smell the tea at all. This is not necessarily the worst thing, as I know some strains are low in smell but higher in taste. The bags themselves are classic (the same size and shape I’m used to— pyramids) and upon brewing the color is nice. I then got excited. I waited a few minutes and then sniffed my cup— no aroma. I left the bag in. Fast forward a few more minutes and it’s cooled enough to taste it. There is some flavor! It’s not strong or bitter or earthy or full like I thought it might be, but there is flavor. It’s a nice mild green tea that’s probably very suited for the average American palate (that is not used to or interested in drinking bitter, strong, green tea). It’s very easy to drink. You can leave the tea bag in it for a relatively long time before you get any bitterness. I left the bag in the whole time to see what happened to the flavor, and the dregs were what one would expect (stronger and almost bitter) I feel caffeinated and satisfied. I can see myself drinking this tea when I don’t want plain water, but am not necessarily in the mood for a strong cup. It might make a very good iced option— I’ll update when it gets warmer out and I try it.

Even though I love this Japanese organic matcha green tea in general, the new tea bags I got had very very short strings. It’s extremely annoying. The tea bags keep falling in my thermos before I can catch them and break when I try to get them out. I hope they’ll go back to the old size. It was perfect before.

Very nice, not bitter.

Very fulfilling matcha tea. Matcha powder lines the bag and is an indication of the amount of it. Tastes very pure and clean. Has replaced my morning coffee (and that’s no small thing)

Ce produit est tel que décrit par le vendeur et il se présente bien par son allure . Cependant , j'éprouve une inquiétude avec la consommation de ce produit étant donné que ma pression artérielle monte à 150-155 / 90-95 suite à une seule consommation de ce thé alors que normalement ma T.A. se maintient à 120-130 /80-85 . Cette élévation de T.A. peut persister pendant 2 jours suite à un seul thé et peut durer quelques jours suite à une consommation quotidienne de 2-3 jours !?
