Q: Does the app provide remote open/close status?

Yes, the app on my phone will open and close the garage door

Q: Does this send notifications through the app when the garage is open or closed? Would like to know if garage is opened when not there.

I was hoping for this when I bought mine, but there are no notifications regarding door state. You can set up a set time to close the door as well as always closing the door after a certain period of inactivity on the door beam. Better than nothing, but not much.

Q: Does this work with amazon key?

Amazon Key does not require any wifi device. Most garage door openers work on radio frequencies (RF). Amazon Key will work without this component. The Maveo however is a good device to add to your Marantec opener as it will show you the status of your door (open/close), allow you to grant guest access (5 guests), and control the door via internet (remotely).
