Look at this thing! There are FOURTEEN oranges in there plus a couple of hanging bananas and my toy avocado pit shooter, and it still isn't full!I've been keeping my fruit in a nice ceramic bowl that once held flowers sent to me after my mom died. (I know it's weird, but it's a really nice bowl. I kind of imagine keeping it long enough to pass it on to one of my children as a family heirloom without exactly saying in what way.) It's a great bowl, but it also takes up a ton of space on the counter because it's pretty big around.This fruit holder far surpasses the funeral flowers bowl in a lot of ways. First, it's deeper than the flower bowl but it's relatively narrow, so it sits on the counter up pretty flush up against the backsplash and gives me back my counter space.Second, it's open and allows air flow so those oranges on the bottom in the photo don't get moldy like they do in the flower bowl. I have a house with an orange grove, so we have a LOT of oranges. It takes time to eat these suckers.Third, I always thought banana hangers were silly, but frankly, I like having those things hanging out of the way of the rest of the fruit that could bruise them. Until now, the bananas tended to live on the counter and not in the flower bowl, because oranges and apples are abusive and like to bash the bananas. It's best to just keep all the kids apart, and the hanger accomplishes that. I can't really say whether hanging bananas keeps them fresher or not, but they just seem happier up there lording over the oranges and apples that are often in there, too.Best of all, my toy avocado pit shooter fits in nicely with the real fruit. For those who want to know, it was a gift, and I have no idea how to find one (shame on you Amazon!), but it has foam pits that shoot out when you squeeze the avocado from the back. It's one of my great delights.All in all, I'm very happy with this fruit bowl that honestly, I didn't even know I needed. You probably need one, too, and don't even realize it, so just get yourself one.Now I have to decide what to do with the flower bowl to preserve its heirloom status...

I like this fruit basket. The banana hanger is high enough so that the bananas don’t actually hang in the bowl. The bowl itself is big enough to hold a large amount of fruit and there are cutouts on the sides that allow easier access. If the cutouts weren’t there then you might have a hard time getting your hand in the bowl if you have bananas hanging.

Finally a big holder that can support your bananas. No matter what size they are. So I received the item and did not know it was gonna be a big holder. The basket is huge and the arm is tall enough to support any size bananas you have. The basket area has enough space to hold any fruits that you like. It is sturdy and light at the same time. It has good support that it won't fall over no matter what you hang on the hook. It does a good job of supporting my bananas and prevents bruising. It claims it makes your bananas last longer but I did not notice any difference on the bananas longevity with this hook. It may last longer at your house but not in mine. Also get your mind out of the gutter. If your reading this in any other way than bananas. Overall great item. Great way to display your fruits and bananas with style.

This stand is great for keeping fruit off your counter and makes it more visually appealing.The stand itself is a smooth metal and the black color works in any kitchen color scheme.I like that it holds a whole bunch of bananas plus has a large basket below for oranges, apples, citrus fruit, etc.It's a little pricey, but the quality is good. Anything that contains counter clutter is a plus.

I give it a 3.5 - I like this fruit tree but I wish the bowl was more of a bowl. Instead I would say it is more of a boat shape and if you grapefruit is on the bottom, you have to remove the items in front/top to get to it. If it were rounder; it would be more useful.

Really like this fruit basket and of course, being able to hang the bananas does help with reducing the bruising. Well worth it.

This is a well made fruit bowl. It is very stylish and holds several apples and oranges as well as being able to hang some bananas. I have also used it as a snack basket for single serving snacks.
