Fantastic. - Got BT Full Fibre 900 and got this to replace my BT SH2. My BT hub was getting 1.1Ghps via Ethernet but when iPad was right next to my router using wifi, was only getting around 220Mbps, once switched over to the XD5 (which was fast and easy) was getting over 700Mbps. So super pleased with this. Probably due to the fact BT hub is still wifi 5 and the ASUS is using wifi 6. Overall it has increased my wifi speed all around the house, 3x the speed I was getting with my BT hub. Review: Unstable and unreliable - For the price, I'd hoped for better performance than this. Set-up was fairly straightforward, but after just one day, we started getting unstable WiFi connections. Certain devices (not specifically 2.4g or 5g), would simply not connect, whilst others seemed to be connected just fine. From previous experience, a quick reboot of the Zen WiFi normally got everything back up an running. One of the reasons for choosing this set was that it has the ability to automatically reboot, and I set this up to do so each day, early in the morning, so seriously question why I'm needing to reboot again manually just a few hours later when my laptop won't connect to the WiFi! Asus tech support sent a list of things to try, most of which, I'd already done, others (like reducing bandwidth), there's no way I'm even going to try, a bit like buying a Ferrari and having it limited to 20MPH!! So, it's going back for a refund... In short, whilst this is an expensive setup, I now get a solid connection inside my garage (previously it would only connect outside of this). These units are tiny in comparison to the XT8 but seriously good in my opinion. **Q: is this a better system than the Tenda ones?** A: It is impossible to answer without knowing what tenda model but, if you've read the other answer, bear in mind that Tenda has wifi6 models as well, and this (ZenWiFi AX Mini XD4) is NOT tri-band. **Q: Is this an add on unit? I already have an Asus router but need a add on unit.** A: I bought a pair of these and used them to complement my XT12 router. Added them using the AI Mesh feature and they work really well. **Q: How are the parental controls on the ax minis? read a few ppl saying it's scheduling only, no content filters, and some that say it's full control thx** A: The Asus router app has this option, to schedule, block content, or turn off access. I haven't used it but the option is there. If you login to the router via the Web page, it opens up all advanced options and settings that the app only has limited options. I tried several solutions including boosters and power line carriers but they had stability and speed issues requiring the system to be rebooted very regularly.
