Perfect.
I recently switched from my trusted but plastic and old CatIt Jumbo hooded litter boxes to stainless steel open top ones and was looking for a way to conceal them. Most options I checked out were not big enough to hold these large 24" x 16" litter pans. Then I saw these and thought I would try them as the design goes perfectly with the floors in the room. The first one arrived and assembly was easy. Instructions are clear and straight forward, everything is well labeled and packaged. You get spare hardware in case you lose a piece. They specifically tell you NOT to use a power tool to fasten the hinges, because if you do, you will strip out the predrilled holes - looks like some reviewers found out the hard way...My one issue was with the lid not staying all the way open. It would stop at an angle. The box fit with enough clearance for my Tom cats to climb in and after verifying that they were fine with this setup, I ordered a second one. Assembling it was a breeze, of course and I got lucky: this second one keeps the lid all the way open.Overall, I think it's an attractive option for a not so attractive purpose. :)It fits together perfectly and nothing breaks, if assembled correctly. It's not a heavy duty cabinet but it's fine for what it is.Pro Tips:- Don't use power tools. A ratchet screwdriver works perfectly.- Line the bottom of the cabinet with peepads that will catch any spills.- If you have cats that are skittish or not used to enclosed litter boxes, leave the lid open for the first few days. Once they are comfortable, you can close the lid.I tricked mine out with stick on LED pucks that are motion activated and light up during the duration of the visit. 😆

Great Quality for Price!
Update April 2025: Still highly recommend! This litter box container still looks and works like new and is used daily by is our 18 and 13-year old Ragdoll cats. We have three other litter boxes but they prefer the one in this enclosure. I wish I had purchased this top opening enclosure years ago instead of investing $250+ on a front opening, cherry wood version. This top opening one is soooo much easier to scoop and clean, the ventilation slats have helped keep it odor free, it looks great, and is loved by our cats.Original Review Dec 2023: The white litter box cover looks great in our laundry room and our elderly, large Ragdoll cat has no problems using it. It is a very sturdy even though it’s made from particleboard. The hinges operate smoothly and will hold the lid half way open or all the way open for easy cleaning of the litter box. The threshold opening is about 5 inches from the floor and easy for our 17-yr old, 16 pound cat to enter. It did take nearly 60 minutes for my husband to assemble, but all parts (and some spare parts) were included, everything was well packaged and labeled, and clear instructions were provided. This top opening unit makes it much easier to clean the litter box and is far more budget friendly than a front opening solid wood unit that I am replacing. I would definitely purchase this item again and highly recommend it. (I did not receive any free items or other compensation for this honest review.)Tip: I suggest putting a pet training pad on the inside of the box to help make any accidents or spilled litter easier to clean. Since purchasing this item two months ago, one time my cat got some pee outside the litter box (he tends to pee near the edge of the litter box) and the pee pad was great at catching his “miss”.

Our cats like the visibility
The look of the cabinet is great & blends well with other furnishings. Our cats seem less anxious now that they can see out while using the litter box, ie no surprise interruptions by the other cat. We have 2 cats so I eventually switched from 3 potted-plant-style litterboxes to 3 of these cabinet styles. They were easy to assemble however the small screws that hold the slow-close arm onto the lid ripped out of the wood on the 2nd one I assembled. By the 3rd assembly I realized that the slow close was actually not helpful when scooping the litter as it didn't consistently hold the lid in the open position but started to close on me while I scooped, so I left it off. Since I have the cabinets next to walls, I just lean the open lid against the wall while scooping instead. Only other issue is that I'll eventually need to replace the floor of the cabinet since our male cat over sprays even the high-sided litterbox we're using. Despite lifting the litterbox out to clean underneath regularly the urine is soaking into/warping the floor of the cabinet. I'll replace with plexiglass .

Far better than looking at an ugly litter box
I had an open cat box for my cats that I hated looking at every day, so I looked for ways to hide the cat box. This enclosure looks great and does a wonderful job of hiding the ugly cat box. The inside is large enough to hold my extra large cat box. The hinged lid makes changing the litter simple and easy. The lid also makes it easy to clean the inside. I am very happy with this purchase.

Solid Beautiful Enclosure
This is a beautiful piece of furniture. It's well made and has a good weight to it.I'm not a very mechanically inclined person so when the item arrived and I opened the well packed box, and saw all the parts, I thought I'd definitely have an issue with installation. However, once you figure out what part goes where (and every part, and plastic bag with screws, etc.) are labeled and match thediagrams in the instruction manual. It did take me a while to install, you have to be careful when putting the hindges/springs on. I had one of the spring openers (not sure what they are called) but they slow down the lid from coming down too fast. If you put this spring on backwards the top will not close all the way. I flipped mine and then it closed perfectly. Its hard to tell which way these springs go per the diagram. Anyways, I got it installed looks great and kitty loves it!!!!
