War And Peace: Leo Tolstoy (Penguin Clothbound Classics)

This is as we all know a very long book. Its not to thick or heavy as really thin paper. Like you find in a bible. The quality of this book is beautiful. Its well made. This book has made me full in love with Tolstoy. Its well written and a page turner. I would highly recommend both this book and author.

Brilliant

Great book, well made and quick dispatch

It is quite a lengthy book, as we all know, but is beautifully produced, in an elegant cover. I have started to read it, and am looking forward to reading further. It was the wonderful BBC interpretation which spurred me on to buy it and read it again, as I have read it once before many, many years ago, but wished to do it again. If, like me, having seen it, you wish to read the origina -l book version - in an excellent English translation this is the book to buy! It will last for a long time, giving us a lot of pleasure reading it.

As expected

This is the best, most natural and most recent translation. It reads very well. I will finish it eventually I hope. The BBC adaptation has helped me sort out the main characters and has brought the novel to life although I'm sure I should have read the book before watching the production.

Excellent quality and content. Best book ever!

This is a beautifully presented version of this epic. Very readable, on lovely paper, with a ribbon page marker and extensive additional notes to keep track of characters, and also including maps. The book's contents stands for itself, and so I shan't review that here.
