Shower Cap Orange Durable Great for All Hair Length

I've been using Goody shower caps for decades. My biggest beef with them is that their elastic is so shoddy a cap otherwise in perfect condition stretches out in a month or two until it drags off my head (I have near knee length hair I bun up and the weight of the hair pulls on the cap, so people with short hair might do better with them). Over the years I've become keenly aware of the plastic waste I've been racking up.On top of that I need the largest cap Goody makes and I wasn't able to find that recently. So I looked around and settled on this one as being the most similar. Most particularly I did not want a lot of little frills around the band to catch and spray water, I did not want a drawstring to fiddle with, and I did not want a cloth lining.What a pleasant surprise. The Goody caps are always scratchy around the band. This one has a smooth finish that is nicely stretchy but holds very tight though not painfully so. It just has a great grip. The hair at the base of my skull isn't wet after a shower. At first glance the cap seemed too small but it covers all my hair without straining. Also, the plastic is notably thicker than Goody's, though I don't know how much that matters. Goody caps are completely waterproof and I've never had one tear. I do not yet know how long the elastic will last; if it more than doubles Goody's duration, I'll give another star. EDIT: I gave it the extra star because eight months later it's still holding strong with no signs of stretching or otherwise failing. I'm sad there's still only these four designs available but am ordering a second gray one to stash as a backup just in case.The only bad thing about this cap is its appearance. I didn't want camouflage patterns or pink, so that left me with the gray. It has that dully slick shine you get on many trash bags and every time I look at it hanging on my shower it looks like a little trash bag at first glance. I wish there were more color and pattern options, and maybe some matte ones too. Goody colors are always so cheerful, I miss that.

The diameter of the cap when layed out flat is 12.75 inches and the opening stretches to 26 inches easily. The cap itself is made of a sturdy material and the edges are bound/encased in a soft non-scratchy lace. This cap should fit almost all people with a lot of hair and or large heads. It seems to be durable as well.

Good feel and fit. Unisex look.

Ordered black and got gray but its still ok. It was for a man so preferred black. The gray has feminine circles.
