Chonky Cats To Cut Out & Collage: Original Design Collection For Junk Journals And Scrapbooks

Bought this for my mum for christmas…but might get myself one too! The sort of pictures to just make you feel better about life.

Originally bought it for as a gift for someone (who’s the head of a photography department) but ended up not able to gift it because:1/. It’s not as “vintage” as I thought it was, they are not reproduction of any vintage images but only in that style (which isn’t really a problem as the book never claimed to be); but something I’ve missed personally so just mentioning it in case anyone thought the same;2/. The images turned out to be AI images, with non-sensical details such as the photos I’ve attached here with two cats riding on a scooter of sort, but somehow without a bar holding the parts together, and in some images, the eyes details are blurry (typical AI couldn’t do details perfect in earlier days), and some images appeared very low res as well.Due to the second reason particularly, I can no longer gift it to someone who is highly trained of noticing details and has that analytical knowledge of details as a profession.Having said that it is absolutely fine for personal enjoyment and for those who love the chonky cats. I eventually kept it for myself and let my daughters play with it. But just don’t expect it to be of high quality and top aesthetic value if you are looking for high quality prints to create show pieces.Last but not least, as someone works in the creative industry, I find it a bit cheeky to claim the images are “original designs” on its first page when they are created with AI generators that steal other people’s work to create these images.It’s a serious ethical problem to claim something original when it is not.

There are so many great styles of cats to use for cards. Some are black and white Victorians but most are color.

This book is hilarious. Lots of pages with different shaped pictures you can use for framing, cards, gift tags. Good quality paper too.

Love those cats

Lots of pictures - different sizes and poses. Something for everyone. Some pictures are very appealing. I am sure I will use most of these pictures for my crafts.

Love this book!!! I collect cat books and this book is filled with wonderful illustrations of adorable chonky fat cats at the beach, family portraits, dressed in different outfits, reading by the fireplace, etc.. I do not see this book as an endorsement of keeping a grossly overweight cat, but as an amusing artistic collection of cats that can be used in craftwork. And we did have a chonky cat once, there was no way we could get her to lose weight and she lived to be 17yrs. old. Recommend this book for all cat lovers, it is a wonderful addition to my library of cat books.
