nice watch
mostly checking heart rate when walking. It works as advertised

I like it, but too many features.
All I wanted was a watch I can see with the day, date, and time. It does that task. I also like the screw off cover for the standard 2032 battery. The window scratches easily, but it's a $50 watch. You can just buy a new one when you want a clear window again.I like the heart rate and stop watch. It has a zillion other functions like steps, distance, pace, speed, split time, workout, heart rate alarm, alarm, countdown, etc. It gets a bit confusing with lots of features. It takes a long time to learn. I get lost in the features. I also don't know how it determines your speed. It doesn't have GPS to do that.

Bad Watch and Service
You want to know what's wrong with this watch? Within 60 days of purchase the lens fogged, the Heart Rate works intemittently at best, it's difficult to use, step counting is off by 20% or more, support is poor to non-existent. I swam with this watch but never dove. I made every effort to communicate with Timex in order to make this work for me and have a long email thread thereto. First request was for a User Manual that is not included nor available on the Timex support site. Such manual was emailed to me: it has some value but it's too brief. As for the long email thread, first it was about getting a manual, then trying to get the heart rate monitor to work then after 30 days but less than 60 it was about trying to get the watch replaced after then lens fogged. Timex refuses to replace it or refund my money. Moreover, and no kidding, they don't have a repair facility. They emailed me that we hope to have a repair facility after the first of the year. Any decent manufacturer or retailer, as the case may be, would have replaced the watch or given me my money back by now. As for Amazon after 30 days it's between the consumer and the manufacturer/distributor. Based on my experience Amazon should cease to do business with Timex for the benefit of their customers.

Step Tracking, Heart Rate monitoring and no smart watch!
The media could not be loaded. If you are looking for a non smart watch that is inexpensive, well built with all the features you need then this Timex Ironman is a great option. The watch looks and feels great on the wrist. 43mm case, I have 6.5 inch wrists and it fits like a glove. It is also extremely light, you don't even feel it on your wrist. Below are some of the features this watch offers:* 2 Alarms, with optional Hourly Chime* Daily Steps, Distance and Calories Burned Tracking* 7 Day History of your Step tracking, calories, etc., so you can look back at your week to compare days* Chronograph with 10 segment option* Indiglo Backlight* Work Out Mode - this is a cool feature where you can go for a workout and it will track you step, time, distance, pace, etc. just for that specific workout* Heart Rate Monitor* Battery is a CR2032 and the watch is designed so it can be changed out easily by the owner (vs. taking to a professional)Most people are probably interested in this model because of the heart rate feature. It will record your Heart Rate but unlike smart watches or other activity trackers, it only measures while you are pressing the heart rate button vs. 24 hours a day which to me was disappointing. I guess it makes since due to the watch battery is not rechargeable, but to me it doesn't do much good unless you just want to randomly check your heart rate (maybe after and workout). I also wish Timex would have splurged a little and used a mineral crystal vs. acrylic. Other than that, no complaints especially for the price. Good option if you want some activity tracking options without all the smart watch complications. I hope this review helps.

Not typical Timex quality
This Timex Ironman Classic HR Monitor randomly blanks out/resets as if the battery was removed. I have had to totally reprogram it on 4 different occasions. It also has bells/chimes that frequently beep even though I have watched numerous videos on how to turn off all alerts, chimes, and alarms. Finally, the watch came with no instructions and there are no manuals on the Timex website for this model. I have had it longer than a month so Amazon won’t let me return it. I would go with my regular Timex Ironman without the HR monitor if I could.

Heart rate & pedometer, no phone needed
Has all the features of an Ironman watch, but has a pedometer and heart rate. Really liked the watch, I just happened to get a defective one. Kept resetting every couple of days even after replacing the battery. Luckily Amazon makes the return process very easy. I'm giving the watch a high rating based on my experience and the assumption I just had a defective one.

Good, basic, tough
Nothing fancy. Yes the heart rate monitor is finicky sometimes. But, it does much of what comparable watches do at 10-20% of their cost. What do you expect from a $50 watch?

How Can You Go Wrong With Timex?!
Very happy for a field watch. I use it camping and swimming. Affordable and dependable.

Great smartwatch alternative
Very sporty looking watch. If you’re looking for a fitness tracker that doesn’t have bluetooth/wifi then this is as best as it can get. Step tracking, manual hr, distance, speed, pace and calories are tracked. No need to charge the watch as well.

Perfect
I wanted a simple watch that had heart monitor function. Many product choices but so complicated with many other functions I don’t need. This watch is great - gives heart rate with a simple touch. Also very attractive. Very pleased.

No instructions explaining anything
Very comfortable but it keeps beeping every few hours and I have no idea why. Instructions would have been nice.Heart monitor is a good featureI’ve had to reset the date 2 times, not quality

Reviews should be better
Some complaints were it's too small... No. Im a big dude lol it fits with 4 notches to spare. Another was no manual. Lol if you can't figure out how to set this watch you shouldn't be anywhere near technology. Yes the indiglo works perfectly, so does the heart monitor. And it has a step counter. My main reason for buying is the battery can easily be replaced. Also maybe uhhh don't wear it when you're swimming in the ocean all day? The complaints are silly it's a 50$ watch.
