Would you recommend this blender any bought it recently

Yes, I have had mine for about a month and it’s great. The blades and motor are strong even on the lower settings and it isn’t as noisy as blenders I’ve had in the past.

does it have different speed settings for example a very slow speed for making mayonnaise?

This blender has both pre-set and manually adjustable speeds . I mostly use mine for fruit/vegetable smoothies and it’s great, haven’t tried crushing ice and not very good for blending chick peas to make houmous. The self-clean mode is great.

I'm after a plastic jug for this blender as my 2l glass one is too heavy. Is there one which fits?

I asked manufacturer about the plastic jug or smaller jug/mug option but they said it wasnt available. I had to return it because the jug would be to heavy for a daily use for me.

Not sure how slow you want it to go but the speed is operated by a dial the further you turn it the faster it goes it does have a pulse option
