Very loud and great for safety
I bought this specifically for my child who is going to Uni. We tried it at home and it is easy to operate . The pull out pin is secure and doesn't come off unless pulled . So it won't randomly go off .Loud enough to get attention / distract the bad ones ( fingers crossed we don't encounter) . Highly recommended. Torch light is good too.

An attacker better think twice about attacking with the noise this alarm produces! A superb product!
This personal alarm has two functions 1: The alarm sound is very loud indeed! 2: A light flashes - this makes it possible for people to see where the noise (the alarm) is coming from, so they can assist the person getting attacked, quicker! All you need to do to make the alarm scream out, and the light to flash, is pull down firmly and the 'pin' exits the alarm body, enabling the alarm to sound, and the light flashing, immediately! As a former Dorset Police Officer, I would suggest that you run towards help, as well as setting off your alarm. Also, make sure your hand does not cover the light when you've operated the alarm in an emergency. If your hand is covering the light source, it takes away it's ability to be seen. The alarm is amazing, and I heartily recommend it to anyone: women, men, boys and girls! I purchased 3 of the alarms - 1 for my wife, 1 for my son and 1 for my grandson. I already have three different alarms, so didn't need another one! I'm disabled, and use a wheelchair, and a mobility scooter. One of these alarms would be great for fellow disabled people, who use these modes of transport. Ian R, from Poole, Dorset.

Good alarm
Bought 2, one for my wife and one for myself. Quite loud but could be louder. Easy to pull out pin to activate but not too easy to do accidentally

Loooks and sounds good
Bought this just for peace of mind (hopefully I won’t need to use it). Going on holiday and have read about pickpockets on the area we are visiting. I have tested it and it certainly seems loud enough to draw attention and/or frighten someone off.

Hopefully it will work on the field
I got this after a friend was attacked, with the idea of having at least something to try to stop an attacker. The device is like a big keychain, perhaps too big to be kept with your keys, unless you love a big bunch of keys in your pockets! However it comes with a hook that allows you to attach it to you bag or trousers. It is very easy to use, just pull it and it goes off with a loud noise and flashing light. Noise is loud, although I would have gone even louder tbh. It’s not so loud to keep someone away because of the loudness but it will surely attract attention. On the downside, the device is not rechargeable and it doesn’t have an indicator of low battery. So the risk is that it could be out of charge when you actually need it…they recommend you change the battery once a year but will I remember to do it??

Way too quiet
This thing is so quiet, it's like a bad joke. I had singing birthday cards louder than this. If a mugger would stop and have a change of heart, it would only be out of pity and second hand embarrassment.Best thing to do with it is strip it for parts.
