Versatile grooming product and very good quality
I've use Dax for a very long time now because it is a reputable brand and they make quality hair pomades. This product is an excellent versatile grooming product. This is suitable for thick hair and helps you to style and manage and it is a good alternative to hair gel. You can use it to achieve twist and curly look if you have thick or afro hair. It is also suitable for short hair, I use it along with a wave cap to achieve a wavy look. It’s great because the Dax holds the style in place and will last the whole day. I also occasionally use the Dax wave and groom as a make shift moustache cream when I want to stylise it and it actually works just fine.Applying is easy but does require a bit of technique for best results. This is down to its thick and waxy consistency so you have to rub in your hand properly till it’s soften and becomes spreadable and then apply evenly on your hair. Just rubbing or messaging into your hair until any white patches disappears and then style your hair as desired. You can also use a towel if you put too much on your hair.Bear in mind this pomade is very thick and so doesn’t let you scalp breathe as much as other lighter creams. It's also more effort to wash out of your hair because of its thick waxy consistency, depending on the amount you used and your hair, it may take a few wash and rinses to completely get it out. Despite this it’s still one of the best on the market and I highly recommend it. Hope this helps.

Excellent for wavy hair and short hair
This product is fantastic for those who have wavy hair, short hair and strong whirls. You can pretty much use this and your hair will be fine in any types of weather or sports.Due to the creamy consistence, DAX Wave & Groom is the ideal to work even hard to manage or thick hair into a perfect quiff, making it a better choice than hair gel.Once applied, it lasts all day (even 2 days) without drying out and keeps your hair in place, yet flexible. Dave Wave & Groom is very firm hence you'll need a little practice to achieve the desired result at first.Only disadvantages I would say are:It can be VERY HARD TO get it out of your hair - as a result it is best to buy Dax Deep Cleansing Removing Shampoo to get rid of it fast. This shampoo created by Dax, has been specially formulated to get it out of your hair a lot easier than your standard shampoo.Another con is it can be quite greasy on the hair, all depending on the individual.

Good product, hard to wash out.
This product will really keep your hair in place! Great for pushing it back. For the little money this costs, you do get a lot of product that will last you a while.HOWEVER, IT DOES NOT WASH OFF WITH WATER.After washing your hair with shampoo the next day you will still have greasy looking hair because the product is hard to wash out. It's gone on the second day. Also after applying it too your hair you will have very sticky fingers and a bunch of stray hair firmly stuck to them. You need to really wash your hands thoroughly. For the money though, you really do get a lot

Great hold but that's about it
This stuff will no doubt give you hold, whether you are spiking or doing pretty much anything but the problem with it is that its extremely tough to get into the hair. This stuff is like tar, so if you plan to get it into your routes for a all over textured look, prepare for a chore. Put too much in and there's no going back.. Not really ideal if time isn't on your side, I have really thick hair so maybe its just my hair but I would have to use water to ease the stuff in.I would recommend this product if you only wanted to add texture to the tips of your hair, this would be ideal as a "finishing product", but for an all over hair product, I would go for something lighter that you can get into your hair and is forgiving if you put in too much, but also gives great hold such as tigi matte separation wax.

Different.
Well... It's different. I tried it out when my hair was a lot longer (pompadour) and it gave a nice effect, but it was in fact very greasy, so avoid touching your face if you are ever playing with your hair. Overall the greasy look gave a good effect, although I wouldn't wear it now my hair is a lot shorter. Give it ago if you want to show off your pomp!

Holds hair rock solid all day (and the next day, and the day after that)
Old classic stuff. Hard as nails, impossible to wash out off your hands unless you use very hot water, but it will hold your hair exactly as you want it (probably for a few days). If all other products fail you, use dax red.
