Update to the review below: King Coil contacted me and made good on the one-year guarantee, even though Amazon was going to make me send it back and would not guarantee my money back if I did send it back. King Coil did not require me to send it back, and was very nice and quick to process the refund. Because I now feel that maybe I just got a rare bad one, and they stood by the product, I have increased the rating from a 2 to a 4 because I don't feel that people are risking losing their money, based on my experience. Our waterbed finally gave up the ghost, so we tried this airbed as a stopgap. At first, we had to refill it about every other day. The leak got worse and worse, and only lasted two or three months before it was unusable. I am trying to return it through Amazon, which doesn't like to take returns after 30 days. But the ad says it has a year-long warranty, so I plan to keep trying. I don't think $150 for two months is a good deal.

Wrong size. I ordered a California king (72x84). The box says California king. The mattress is smaller - 68x 80. Which I see online is a common size in RVs. Strange though! Tall family so not great for us. Also - this is my second King Koil. Loved the first one, which is super high - at least 20 inches, easier to get up from! This one is much shorter - only 13 inches tall. Also not what it says on the box. The other one we have is great, we used in guest room for a year and everyone liked. Stays inflated. This is disappointing this one is the wrong size. Heavy to have to walk a few blocks to return it to UPS!

We got the king size for visiting fam so they wouldn't have to sleep on our awkward & uncomfy couch! SO GLAD I did! My bro, who has had back surgerybslept on it for 5 nights and reported that he slept better than he does at home in his bed. After he left, my twin teenage daughters layed on it daily (summer break, yasss!) and said it's def the most comfortable air mattress they've ever felt. That's saying a lot because for about half a year, we slept on nothing but air mattresses and tried a LOT of diff brands (including AeroBed or whatev it's called). Of note, we have five rambunctious kitties who spent plenty of time running across the top of the mattress with guns blazin' (claws unsheathed lol) and I'm so pleased to report no air mattress casualties whatsoever. I endorse this bed 100% and would buy it again in a heartbeat (if my current one got stolen lol obvi I would say different if it just stopped holding air or whatev 😹). I purchased an air mattress specific mattress pad and sheet set and they worked perfect together.

I'll compare this to my Aerobed as that's the only comparison I have. Controls are at the head of this bed so every time you want to adjust the air level you have to move it away from the wall. The knobs that control air pressure are a bit weird to operate. The Aerobed has controls on the side so you just reach over and select one of 3 settings which can be done while you're still on the bed. The height of the king bed makes exiting very difficult if you're a taller person. The bed is comfortable for an air bed. The extra size of the king bed is nice for two people. Aerobed wins except they don't offer a king size mattress. . .

I bought this air mattress because my sister has one and she liked it. She's never had a problem. That's why I ordered one. Two week after I received it a hole appears in the left side seam. I repaired it. A week later another hole about 10 inches away from the first one. I repaired it. Here it is now where the mattress is losing air but I haven't located the leak yet. It's a nice mattress...but this one is givng me issues. It may be just a badly made one, so I won't knock all of them but t his one was poorly made!!! Update 9/8 King Koil DEFINITELY stands behind their warranty! I was contacted by them after my review and the simply requested photos of where I had patched the leaks. I was contacted by them afterward and they informed me they would ship a replacement, which I received today! Very refreshing to see such a response!!!
