Amazing product from Blue Lagoon!!!!

I was a bit thrown off by the cost of this mask, but I was excited to try it due to the unique ingredients. I am glad to report that you only need a small amount each time so this small tube should last a very long time. I apply it to my face after I cleanse, and leave it on for 10 min. Any longer, and it can dry me out (I have combination oily skin). After I wash it off, I noticed that my skin looked blurred and smooth. It also really softened my skin. Unfortunately, those results don’t last very long. But I have noticed that as I use it regularly (2-3 times a week), the results last longer. I love to use it before I wear make up, which is not too often these days. When I do use it before primer and foundation, the application is a lot smoother. It’s like I’m wearing a primer already, which makes the actual foundation primer. I put on top work a lot better. It also helps reduce the look of fine lines, but that affect is very temporary and I have not seen a noticeable diminishing effect on lines how long are use it. However, I do love the way it makes my skin look and feel. It’s like having a social media filter on!

I went to the Blue Lagoon while in Iceland several years ago. While you are swimming, they offer you their signature silica mask. It is magical. I have never had my skin feel so smooth or nourished before or since. Unfortunately, it is also very expensive, as I discovered when I looked it up online when I got back home. Needless to say, I was super excited to try this. This is not the same mask I used, but it does have the silica as a major ingredient, and it seems to have the same effect of making my face feel ridiculously soft. I don't know why it works so well but it's fantastic! My only qualm is that the smell of this mask is a bit odd, which I assume is the algae? It's sort of nutty but marine-like at the same time. However, it's still a five star mask for me because of how it makes my face feel. I still think the brand is expensive, but having tried this one, I'd consider buying the silica one too, since I prefer the smell.

I was able to get two treatments from this tiny tube. Face was so soft afterwards! Considering what I used to pay for similar spa facial treatments, this is not totally outrageous in price. Effective and pure ingredients.

This Blue lagoon nourishing algae face mask is amazing!! I’ve used so many face masked before and so far I like this one the most!! The consistency was very creamy yet rich. It spreads easily and thinly. The scent isn’t too good but at least it works really well. My skin always feel so smooth and hydrated. My skin is always so dry during the winter and this helps prevent it from breaking out. Overall I really like this product and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is interested in this product!!

I had never tried an algae face mask before, so was looking forward to this! The tube was sealed when received. I also like that the tube is made from a sturdy, yet malleable material, so I can use the most amount of the product. The tube also included easy to follow instructions on the proper way to use the item. The algae mask comes out green from the tube. However, when I apply it on my face, it initially has a green tint, which essentially disappears when it absorbs into my skin. Application is easy, as the algae mask is smooth, creamy and lightweight. The item has a distinct smell, but overall neutral, and I cannot smell it once it’s initially applied. I was pleasantly surprised that the mask didn’t completely freeze my face like all of the other masks have. I did feel some tightness, but it was minimal. I washed it off in 10 minutes with warm water and my face felt refreshed! I did have to put some face moisturizer on after using it because my skin got a tad dry. Great product, but not sure I agree with the price point being so high in terms of positive effects seen.
