LAPGEAR Elevation Lap Desk – White Marble, Fits 15.6” Laptops

I wanted something simple, without mouse pad, wrist rests, pockets, plugin ports, etc. This is perfect. I use it for my reading tablet. I had been simply propping the tablet up on pillows, but that was getting uncomfortable. I have the tablet sitting in a small stand to hold it upright, then that sits on the desk on my lap. It's a perfect size for the tablet and for your forearms on either side. The little phone slot is nice, even though I originally didn't think I would use it. I dont need the little stop rail on the bottom, but it's not in the way or inconvenient. The foldout cushion on the bottom is great. At first I thought it was one solid flat cushion, and then remembered the center piece folds out. It has 2 little loops that attach to buttons on the other side, so you then have an elevated surface that holds the tablet at a convenient position for reading. This is very comfortable and sits lightly on your lap. It's not heavy enough to make your legs warm and sweaty when using for a long time. I wish I had ordered this a long time ago. It's perfect for reading in bed or sitting on the couch.

I absolutely love this desk! I was trying to use my laptop with a blanket on my lap, but the computer was getting hot. So, I did some research, and decided to give this one a try. I love that it fits my laptop, my mouse and it has a slot for my phone. I am happy that it allows my computer to cool properly so my legs don't get hot. I have had it for a couple of months now, and the quality seems to be adequate because it still looks like new. I would definitely recommend it.

Love it! Perfect size, great functionality, comfortable to use. Con: Surface is easily marked stained. It needs a less absorbent surface, or a clear coat on this one. But of all the choices out there this is still the best one. I do recommend it.

I am a freelancer and I work from home. I got tired of using a pillow under my laptop when I decide to work on the couch or in bed. I liked this one because it has space for an extra phone or notebooks or a small iPad. Space wise: it’s great for a 13” MacBook leaving a space on the side for ur notebook or mouse pad if you use one. It’s sturdy and doesn’t move at all while using. I like the extra piece at the front that prevents the laptop from slipping. Also, the extra pull out cushion at the bottom is great too to make it a bit higher. The heat retention is great, my laptop doesn’t heat up while using it and I stay for long hours on it sometimes. The strap on the top left corner is nice for notebooks or any paper you want to stay in place. I personally use it to clip my AirPods on it; they stay in place and I don’t lose them. I have this placed beside my bed and I have all my electronics on it. It’s great quality even with this price. I got the black one and the material still looks new, doesn’t peel or anything. Loving it!

...WHY DID YOU STOP MAKING THIS MODEL??? The large grey model was so good!!! Fit my large gaming laptop, has comfy support in center with no gaps but you could flip the center cushion to give it elevation if you so choose, and no dumb built in mouse pad like the other models have. It was simple and it was perfect. Please bring this model back :(

UPDATE: After a year, oh no, they are discontinuing this model. I knew they would do this. Why do companies discontinue the perfect thing and replace it with a less than perfect thing. I knew I should have bought another one to keep as a spare. The one I have is holding up quite well. It might last another 5+ years, but eventually I will have to buy another one and I missed this opportunity. UPDATE: After two months, I just love this thing, Upgraded to 5 stars. its seriously one of the best things I've bought on Amazon ever. The paint chip issue has not spread and it is a minor blemish. I use it 8 to 12 hours a day and its holding up well. I'm thinking of buying a spare just in case they change the design and screw up the perfection. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I like the board quite a bit, its sturdy and the pads are comfortable on my laptop. However, after only 3 days the "carbon fiber" has begun to peel in one spot on the edge. I didn't bang the edge on something, but the spot is where I touch the side to pick it up. So it appears the coating is just paint that has a texture to it to look like carbon fiber. I didn't think it was carbon fiber, but since its paint and appears quite brittle, I suspect that its going to peel in other places soon as well. Because its black I will be able to touch it up with a permanent black marker, so it won't be too much of an issue. But its disappointing as everything else about the board and pads is above expectations.

I love this little desk. I work remotely. Often times, I prefer to sit in a more comfortable chair as I work. I used to keep my laptop in my lap but after a while, it'd start heating up and it became a pain. I bought this desk seeking a practical, portable, and affordable solution. This desk solves all of those things! I can comfortably rest my 15.6in laptop on it and my phone. Also, there's a little groove to store pens. It's also very lightweight. It feels like a heavier pillow with a desk surface built on top of it. It would be easy to carry for travel. It reminds of desks they use in schools so it's perfect if you're teaching your kids at home. What I love the most is that you don't have to put anything together. I HATE ordering products that come in pieces. Often times things like that never get used or I'll end up returning them. This desk arrives out of the box ready to use. I would highly recommend it especially if you have a laptop or phone that gets hot easily.

I use it every day and am using it now. It is one of the best items I have purchased in the past 10 years.

Lightweight and comfortable to use. Perfect size for my Surface Pro. Mouse works fine on the surface and I love the little ledge that keeps my laptop from sliding off. I have one of those thicker phone flip cases so it doesn't fit in the holder unfortunately, but I tested it with a regular phone case and that worked.

The product was as described. It was simply wonderful.

Me encantó!

Works great.

This is nice and would have worked well if the device ledge was taller. Because of the bevelled shape at the bottom of the computer, the laptop just slides over the top of the ledge.
