Don't know. However, our 6-year-old grandson has both the Polar Express and: the "Lionel Pennsylvania Flyer Battery-powered Model Train Set Ready to Play w/ Remote," which has the same features and quality, however the latter is more playable because of the flatcar.

Does the little boy have a have a ticket in his hands ? Does it come with one for him ?

No he doesn’t. Honestly this set wasn’t that great. The faces weren’t done too great
