It's stuck on Celcius and I'm following instructions to change to Fahrenheit, and it's not working (the button seems to do nothing). Also not accurate at all! I tried on 3 dogs!

I am not one to usually write reviews, but I have noticed that certain products come broken...and they appear to be returns that were shipped back out again. I received the thermometer and it didn't have power. So I have had it charging for 24 hours and it will turn on for a few seconds before shutting off again with the battery indicator flashing. Just disappointing

I decided to get this when my two kittens were a little under the weather. I spoke to my vet and he said that infrared thermometers don’t give an a. Irate reading.

First off, I had no immediate need for a pet thermometer, but I have had dogs that got Lyme Disease in the past and live in the woods, so I decided it wouldn't be bad idea to be able to check temperatures of my three dogs and a cat. However, that was not the reason I ordered this. It was the current reviews.54% were 4s and 5s with 47% being 1 star. I suppose the extra percent was a rounding error. My curiosity came from the fact that not one of the 4s and 5s left any feedback while the 1s had all kinds of negativity about not charging and buttons not working. As a Vine member, i couldn't resist testing this out to see if it worked or not. It worked for me out of the box and seemed to give my dogs appropriate readings, all between 100 and 101. My cat came in a little low in the high 90s but she wasn't as cooperative and I didn't want to pressure her at this moment.It charged up fine with an Amazon Fire TV stick power block. The thermometer doesn't come with one. That is one weakness in determining the reason some couldn't charge their thermometers. I had no issues getting the device changed from centigrade to Fahrenheit either, another of the complaints. I did have an issue with the instruction sheet as my eyes are old and the sheet has small print with difficult to understand English. I had to scan and use Photoshop to blow them up. I wish these sellers would provide an electronic version of their instructions on their ads rather than wasting paper. Then they can be downloaded and stored for future reference.I decided to get involved with Vine to give honest reviews of products offered on Amazon and give my perspective of the products, good or bad. I intend to use this one frequently over the next several weeks since what had already been shared was so diverse. I'll be updating later with my longer term opinion but, right now, I'm very positive.

Works well with no sound. Does not bother dog.

This thermometer gave me a different read multiple times in a row, even though I didn’t move it. I didn’t trust this thermometer so bought a rectal digital thermometer instead for my very sick dog. Not only did this thermometer give me multiple variations in temperature, but it was 7 or 8° off every time (When compared to the actual temperature obtained taken rectally).

I purchased this back in march and I have been using it weekly since my female is pregnant. when you turn it on LO appears. so this morning I plugged it into a wall charger to charger. NOTHING happened for over 8 hours. so I removed it from the wall plug and plugged it into the outlet directly into the wall thinking that the problem was my cube. WELL still nothing. so overall. it does work and is accurate and quick. nice design fits into hand great. Maybe I have a Lemon, hopefully. but just buyer beware. charge it as soon as you get it to ensure yours work.
