Well, eye of frog is not a good substitute at all, much to my disappointment. My cauldron remains tarnished, and all of the cauldron suppliers in Salem Massachusetts are still claiming COVID caused a “supply chain issue”. Yeah right. Well, this product certainly came with two eyes, just as you’d expect. All of the internal organs were in their proper places and were easily found. I would avoid using them in any brews though, as I find the hint of formaldehyde to be a little off-putting. To each their own I suppose though. Anyway, this is a fine product, arrived as described, and I take responsibility for the lack of success on my cauldron - the YouTube video that suggested this as a substitute for eye of newt was obviously in error.
