It’s exactly what it sets out to be! Freeze dried ice cream sandwiches. They are bite sized, crunchy and even turn a little creamy while chewing. It’s a little hard to justify the price tho, I could buy a whole box of ice cream sandwiches for $3 but I don’t have a $3,000 freeze dry machine. They did a good job shipping them, too. The box was a little banged up but all the candy survived fine. I even had cheese cake bites and the gram cracker crust hardly looked phased. I think it’s great as a fun gift to give people, take camping or even emergency food storage (they have an expiration date of 4 years!)

I was familiar with dehydrated ice cream as astronaut food because that is how I first heard of it. The original flavor was Neapolitan but now commercially there are a variety of flavors. Mint chocolate chip!! Surprisingly tasty and yes it is sweet. It's like eating warm ice cream, if you can imagine it. It does melt in your mouth! It is a novel experience and fun on a road or back packing trip to treat yourself or surprise your friends.

I’m giving this product four stars because there is NO WAY you can eat just one of these crunchy pieces and call it quits. Which means I have to purchase more or none. I went with the latter because the price exceeds my budget limits. That aside, these are great! I give the crunch level a ten out of ten. In my mouth it’s as if neopolitan ice cream transformed into something akin to a potato chip and cookie. Love the texture and the size of each morsel. Just know, you’ll likely stop only when the bag is empty.

Stale and nasty! I had purchased this a few months ago and it was delicious. This was my second purchase and both bags of The Neapolitan arrived unopened and sealed. Once the first bag was open it was disgusting. The item was stale. We thought maybe somehow air got into the bag and we tried the next bag. Both bags were nasty. The use by date is still a long way away so I am not sure what happened this time. I just realized that the item is not returnable which is very sad since it was purchased this way.

It's a lot of money for how small the packages are. I got these for a sci-fi themed book club meeting and there was about 15 people present, if it weren't for the amount of other options present these would not have lasted the meeting. They're about the size of the top knuckle of my thumb if that makes sense, my 1 year old could safely hold and munch on it. Many came falling apart or broken in half. Everyone liked the flavors and most liked the texture, it was a novelty purchase but I don't think I'd repurchase unless there was another similar theme, and I'd probably try to find a cheaper option.

Quite expensive for the size but worth it. They tastes absolutely amazing. I love these so much.
