great book!
I found myself really caring about the people in it. It’s all so true to life, and draws the reader in.

Just ok...
Neither liked nor disliked this book. I just felt indifferent about it.

Classic Maeve - just what I wanted!
If you’re a Maeve Fan you won’t be disappointed by this, which is one of her more ‘modern’ ones. A great place to start if you’ve not had the pleasure of finding a ‘fave Maeve’ yet.

A book you will not put down.
This story of colourful characters was so enjoyable I did not want it to end. The story held my interest wondering what would happen next. Maeve Binchy however brought it to a really good conclusion. I wonder how she will top that. Thank you.

Interest never flags in this Kitchen
This is a cracking read and written by the much missed Maeve Binchy .The goings on of a newly set up catering business might not at first seem favourite to generate such a moving and interwoven story as we get here. Do not for one minute doubt that this tale, setting the difficulties of setting up a business with all the hard work involved and the intricacies of a barrister husband who pursues the interest of the homeless and politically dispossessed to the detriment of his wife and his marriage will produce such a work. Binchy writes beautifully as ever and although a lengthy novel, the end came too soon for this reader. Get reading it now.

Excellent read
Thoroughly enjoyed this read. Maintained my attention from start to finish and helped pass a number of winter lockdown hours! I liked the author's style of focusing in short bursts of what was happening rather than lots of description. Have read many of this author's books and plan to read more.

A bit long winded
I did finish the book, but at times felt like not doing so. The story was enjoyable but could have been better if most of the characters hadn't been so annoying (especially the twins and the main characters respective partners). On a couple of occasions the story would jump to an entirely different storyline in the middle of paragraph, in such a way that I had to read back to make sense of it. Maybe because I was reading on a Kindle the paragraphs weren't so clearly defined (though I've not had that problem before). Not one of Maeve Binchy's best
