Surprisingly good, i got the american import battery versio . Lens can be foggy during rain so maybe find a snap on rain hood. Simple to fit, looks good and works well. I have since subscribed to nest aware and love the 30 days of video storage. Impressed so far!

Not good at all your phone doesn’t ring when someone is calling

Generally, quite disappointed and I ended up returning the doorbell. The primary function of a doorbell is to alert householders when someone rings it, and the Nest doorbell fails on this measure. Integration with my partner's iPhone proved to be tricky as the phone is always on silent to avoid interruptions. For me, on Android, the alerts were simply not loud enough and it was easy to miss a caller. Apart from that, the video quality was average at best and the vertical letterboxed orientation of the video was unimpressive (a standard or wide-screen orientation would be better). There were also concerns about the battery life and a sourcing a suitable power supply (24V AC/AC?) was not well supported or even documented by Google/Nest. No Nest branded power supply is available and I needed to revert to third party products to set this up. Similarly, integration with wireless chimes or existing wired chimes is not well documented or supported. There is another design quirk that probably needs attention; the doorbell has a longitudinal shape with two circles at either end - one for the camera and for the bell. I feel visitors could be confused about how to operate the doorbell trying to press the camera lens instead of the doorbell button. Overall, I feel the design of this product needs some revision to make it suitable for use, particularly in United Kingdom.
