I am very pleased with my mantle clock. It keeps great time and you can hardly hear it ticking. The face is very clear and the black and gold colours look lovely. Great value for money. Love it!

Was a little wary given reviews describing it as cheap plastic, and several reporting damage on arrival. Mine arrived on time, and seems to have no damage at all to it. It IS very lightweight and the body is indeed moulded plastic, but it is nicely finished and really does look like wood from normal viewing distance, or even closer. The dial is large and clear, easy to read from across the room. The tick is audible but quiet, and sounds much more "solid" than a cheap electric movement might suggest. There's no doubt I'd prefer a wooden clock, I hate there being yet another piece of plastic that will eventually be going in a bin. However hopefully it will not be heading that way for a long time yet, and at a fraction of the cost of a wooden-bodied clock (which are like hen's teeth anyway to find) I can't really fault it; that said I've knocked a point off style simply because it's so lightweight.

Fairly smart looking on mantlepiece. Ideal if wanting something well priced. Time keeping good to date.

Very pleased with this clock which I have put on my mantle piece. It has a soft tick which is very soothing. Keeps very accurate time.

Clock looks great in fire place but is very light weight to pick up is plastic, but does look like wood unless touched ect if you are wanting a heavy wooden clock this wouldn't be for you but looks wise it does the job.

I was looking for a nice quality traditional clock in black that would work with existing black and white accents. There are a couple of loud clocks in other rooms nearby and the quietness of the this clock is an appreciated feature.

Es de madera y el tacto externo es bueno, funciona bien, lleva una máquina de cuarzo en el rango de su precio, no hace nada de ruido ( para mi es una desventaja pero a mucha gente le molesta el sonido del tic tac, este no se oye nada) lleva una pila pequeña clásica de esa que encuentras en cualquier sitio doble A, cabe justa pero funciona bien. Lo recomiendo para mirar la hora y no quedarte viendo Netflix hasta demasiado tarde.

Clock is nice, a bit smaller than I thought. We had to tighten the mechanism against the wooden housing. Didn’t quite arrive when scheduled but it’s the Christmas rush so not a big deal. Overall a nice clock.
