Patsy Walker, A.K.A. Hellcat! Vol. 1: Hooked On A Feline (Patsy Walker, A.K.A. Hellcat! (2015-2017))

Nice and refreshing storytelling with a good dose of fun compared to the normal "let's just have a bunch of heroes fight each other" events that seem to be all the rage for comics now.

*4.5 stars*Soooooooooooooooo many fantastic female characters! SO MANY! Good ones and bad ones and and and - ! And it was all done with so much verve and wit and fun. If you like Squirrel Girl, I can't imagine you not enjoying this, too. It doesn't quite reach the same heights of humor - I never laughed out loud as I read this, unlike Squirrel Girl - but I enjoyed it all SO much, and I looooooved the characters and their interactions and so, so many lovely details.The only thing that didn't work for me was the art style (particularly in the last episode), but since I'm not a very visual reader in general - I'm honestly reading for the banter and adventure, not the pictures, even when it comes to graphic novels! - I'm only marking it down by half a star in my own personal star system...and since this is a totally subjective gripe (the art wasn't bad at all, it just wasn't to my personal taste), you might actually really like it!Either way: very highly recommended! And I am definitely going to read the next volume.
