I'm impressed with this cooler. Keeps my Ryzen 5 5500 nice and cool. Not that they 5500 uses much power to begin with, but under full load in a small form factor pc, the highest temp I saw way 72 C, which is really not bad in my book. I upgraded to a Noctua NF-A9 PWM and haven't seen the temps get above the low 60s. Very happy with it. Fits perfect inside my SGPC K39 case even with the full 25mm thick fan.

Good cooler for mini itx

It does what I need it to do. I paired this up with a Ryzen 5700g in an old, very cramp itx case. I upgraded the guts of it from an old AMD A8 with a Zalman CNPS80f to what I mentioned. Space between processor to DVD player leaves very little room for even low profile heatsinks to breath. Anyway, for how small it is, it does the job well. It does prevent the processor from throttling when running at full load. Though you will hear it at that point. The PC is used as my HTPC in my semi truck through the years. This heatsink does it's job well. And the Ryzen 5700g is the highest I could use for that heatsink. That, and overkill for an HTPC setup. I did try playing games like Cities Skylines 2, and the heatsink keeps it from throttling. And this is with little space between fan and DVD player. But despite this, it still will be around 80c and fans blaring. So....if wanting this heatsink for gaming...get a case with a bit more space and the larger version of this heatsink....or what ever that is bigger than this. This will do the job if just watching movies, streams, and many tabs in browser open.

This is a quality piece. I was limited to 39mm cooler height, So it was this or the Noctua. Honestly you will be fine with both. However the heat pipe on this are no joke. and this does out perform the Noctua buy a couple of degree's Celsius. when you are hunting every degree due to height restrictions. Go with this. you wont be disappointed.

Best low-profile cooler out there. Price, performance, noise, ease of installation, Thermalright essentially does everything right with its low-profile coolers! You can further improve the noise and performance with a Noctua fan swap, or add ARGB by swapping to an ID Cooling 92mm slim fan, but the only better heatsink out there is a Thermalright full-copper! Really, if you are building a space-constrained or small form factor PC, there is no reason to look at anything other than a Thermalright cooler!
