Product description Green clay, also known as illite, is an organic material comprised of a host of essential minerals, iron oxides, and decomposed plant material such as kelp and seaweed. Illite was called green clay for centuries, named after the rock quarries in the south of France that yielded most of the world's illite deposits. Green clay is used in alternative medicine, both externally and internally, for many reasons, but mostly for cleaning and detox because of its vast absorbent properties Indications This product is meant for external use due to it's vast absorbent properties Ingredients SIO2: 25.80%; AI2O2: 8.80%; FE2O3: 2.99%; TIO2: 0.26%; CAO: 26.90%; MGO: 4.50%; NA2O: 0.37%; K2O: 1.70%; Loss: 28.07% Directions Use wooden utensils when preparing the clay to avoid altering its qualities. One facial mask takes approximately from 1 tablespoon (15g) to 1/4 cup (45g). Each 1Kg package will last for around 30 facial masks Review: Very pleasing - I already have kaolin and bentonite clay but the green clay mixes best for a face mask with water, nice and smooth with no lumps like the other clays do. There are a few gritty bits but easily removed with mortar and pastel which I dont mind doing. This clay is full of minerals so my dog gets some occasionally in her food and likewise our chickens. In fact they started to lay better after ingesting it and it is winter-time so they should by right be having a break from laying. Delivery is from Portugal so one has to be patient, beggars cant be choosers as here in Ireland there is no natural green clay mines. Review: Would Strongly advise to NOT use this seller/product - If I could leave no stars, I would, and I've never left anything other than positive feedback anywhere before. I read other reviews before purchasing and now wish I had listened to them. The order took months to arrive and when it did, it absolutely was NOT as advertised. The clay i received was grey, rather than green (and I've used this stuff for years, so know what I'm looking for) and was mostly grit - not even a rougher powder, but literally grit and gravel - there's no way you'd be able to use this on yourself, it was useless. I wrote a very gentle email explaining this to the seller, even giving them the benefit of the doubt that perhaps they had a poor batch on this occasion. They replied saying that this was clearly the case and that they would refund in full if I returned the product. I did this by return of post and then heard nothing for months. When I finally chased them up, they claimed that I was outside the deadline for a refund so they were keeping the money!! Not sure I'll get anywhere if I tackle them further, I have receipt of posting so can show that they must have received it in plenty of time for a refund, but PLEASE do not buy from this company, I'd hate anyone else to have to deal with them or lose their money, or for them to be able to continue making money by such means.

Lovely natural product.
This green clay is a wonderful if messy skin treatment. Mix with flower waters, diluted honey, argon oil or experiment for yourself.

Can replace skin cleaning products
I recommend this for troubled skin: Acne, psoriasis, scars, sores that won't heal, you name it. The clay cleanses, restores the skin, and reduces superficial scar tissue if used daily. It takes relatively little clay, so it's inexpensive in use. Apply before shower, remove with a soft sponge in it, use skin toner on cotton after. Best cleanser I've had, and most gentle.

Bought green clay in Denmark 250 g for about 49 kr which is very fine, which it must be because it is iternt use! Should be good for infections! Takes a glass in the morning and evening. The clay I bought from amazon.com is cheap enough, but is too coarse for internal use! It crunches in your teeth! What I buy in Denmark called "Ultra-Ventiladed Green Clay" From Cattier Paris, and it is very good, but also costs much more! Bought in a Danish netfirma called "helsam" and can also be obtained at a company called "netspiren! Both places to 49 KR (GB) hans the same product can be purchased at Amazon.com biligere to just biligere price I intreseret Regards Bjorn Larsen

Does exactly what it is supposed to!
I bought this clay to be used as a mask to exfoliate skin and to clear the blemishes. My mother and I are sharing this clay as it is rather a lot for one person. Firstly my mother has hyper sensitive skin, she is allergic to so many things that finding something that does not cause an allergic reaction is like winning the lottery. Also she has very dry skin vs. my own normal/slightly greasy skin. The clay works for us both. For my mother the clearing of blemishes is just as important as exfoliation and the mask clearly did that. Also whilst she does have dry skin the mask did not dry it out further. Instead it simply removed the dead skin and cleared the face in general. For me the mask refreshed my face, reduced the greasiness and left me feeling cleaner. I have used clay masks since I was a teenager (I am now in my late twenties) but I never tried green clay before. However I can honestly say that green clay is just as good as white clay and its actual mineral content would suggest that it is MUCH BETTER for your skin than just white clay. I would highly recommend this product.

Excellent!
Excellent product! bought a few times now, and will continue to keep buying. Product goes a very long way, cleanses the skin much better than all of the high street clays that I have used. Price very good too...I use weekly and the product lasts at least three months.
