The old carb on my Ranch King (MTD) 8hp Tecumseh was the "ECO" version with no adjustments. This Dosens carb is fully adjustable, and that is what you want, trust me. This carb installed perfectly and was a direct replacement in fitment. Here's a tip -- remove the muffler (3 bolts) and it is a lot simpler to make the swap. The mounting holes for the shroud bracket were not threaded, but the old screws were self-tapping so that was not an issue. The shroud on my machine had a label on it that covered a couple of holes... the holes that will give access to make adjustments to the carb after its all put back together. I just ran a drill bit through the label and opened the holes up.I installed the carb, pushed the button on the bottom of the bowl until gas ran out, and it started on the first pull. I adjusted the fuel mixture screw (on the bottom of the bowl in the center) to get full power, and that is why this carb is better than OEM because you have that adjustment -- otherwise you have to live with the low power output of the ECO carb. The price of this carb was crazy low, and it paid for itself last weekend clearing out after a big snow storm. I am so impressed with it that I ordered another one today to keep on hand as a spare. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect fit for arien snowblower *by A***E on Reviewed in the United States on March 18, 2022* Good quality, exact match except my original carburetor didn't have the air fuel adjustment. After installing this it started on the first pull. I had to adjust the high speed jet a little bit, as to be expected. Now it runs great sounds like new. The cleaning tool is handy if you don't have one already, as well as the filter.
