So, either I got the only seriously waterproof pair of boots on the planet, or other people's expectations are unrealistically high for an item costing less than half the price of a serious steel toes, electricity proofed, slip resistant anti-gravity boots cost! I would say about every 5 months or so, the sole usually wears down in about that time, but I must mention I walk a lot on pavement or road type surfaces. In my opinion they are a great value, as almost any other shoe last about the same, but with these I get comfort out the box, good look, waterproof, and support for my ankles, good traction.
