This set of small projects (keyrings and the like) is an excellent way to introduce children to diamond painting. It's quite an involved, fiddly process and, when you see sets with whole big pictures to do, I often wonder how many kids have the perseverance to follow the whole project through.This set, however, has everything you need to begin diamond painting but in small 'bite-sized' projects; there's eight cute keychain charms (mermaids, unicorns, a cat, an octopus and a llama) and several sheets of small images. They're all marked with 'paint-by-numbers' type of annotations to guide the child which colour gems to use. You get chains and clips to turn these charms into actual key chains.So even fairly youngish children or those without an awful lot of patience, can take on one of these little projects and complete it fairly quickly - to give them some real satisfaction. (Obviously not too young, because of the swallow risk of the tiny gems. But any child who'll understand NOT to try eating the 'diamonds' will be fine!)Then, maybe having had some success and pleasure from these mini-projects, they may want to consider doing a project that lasts a bit longer.

Very fiddly and you'll want some little plastic boxes to store them in when you've opened the box as the box arrived battered. Absolutely loads of diamanté pieces so will make a lot of keyrings but defintely for upper primary and older children as need good fine motor skills and a lot of patience to apply each piece. Would make a nice gift for someone who enjoys crafting. Overall not a bad price for the kit and includes enough bits to give hours of production.

The printing is clear so it is easy to see where the individual crystals need to be placed. Once you have peeled the protective plastic sheet off the adhesive on the acrylic blank is very "tacky" so holds the diamonds nicely in place. There is quite a bit of space between the diamonds so I would recommend sealing with a clear PVA glue once finished as this will stop dust and pet hair sticking to the exposed adhesive.Great crafting project for rainy days and each blank will take less than half an hour to complete so quick enough for even the smallest attention span to complete one in just one sitting.

What a lovely Damond Art set this is. I do Diamond art canvases all the time so thought my Grandaughters would love this. I can't wait to join in!! The characters are really cute and fun to look at. There is everything here that is necessary. Tray, Pen, wax, key ring holders and chains with a lobster clasp. Each monster will take long enough to keep a child occupied for a good half hour or so, but not so long that they will begin to get bored. This is just the kind of project to get a young one interested in Diamond Art, and a great practice for larger projects. I think this set is lovely and have absolutely no hesitation in recommending it.

Really good little diy set, very well thought, comes boxed nicely and is easy to use, little one loves it! Highly recommended! Age rating is definitely appropriate!

This diamond art set is based off Disney Princesses. You can make good quality keyrings from them is set. Hours of fun and creativity for any child to enjoy. Totally recommend for any fmgirl ages r and upwards.
