My 2013 Nissan Altima was stuck in park and I had been using to a screwdriver to bypass the lock and change gears. I ended up changing both switches after I examined the condition of both. The pieces fit without issue and the car is working normally again. Note: changing the pieces out will take 2 minutes. Removing the middle console and replacing it will take about an hour total. Also the wires may be different colors than what was factored installed. For me the factory pieces had green wires - color did not make a difference.

I installed this switch in my 2013 Nissan Sentra a couple of weeks ago and it's working perfectly.

This part worked perfectly to fix my daughters 2013 Altima, which was stuck in park. As a short term solution, there is a little hole on the left side of the shifter near the front, that you can shove a small screwdriver, or other pointed object in, and use it to over-ride the locked shifter so you can use the car until you get it fixed. Took me about 2 hours to do the job...not difficult if you just work your way through the process. There are several You Tube videos that will help you immensely...just look them up.

Used these on a 2015 Nissan Sentra. The switch fits but the wiring does not. Usually the switch is the problem when the car will not shift out of park. These fixed the Sentra shifter.

This part fixes the problem with the shifter stuck in park. When you want to start the car and shift the car in gear and it doesn't work. Just by this part, replace it yourself. It's easy, don't spend $600 to $1000. It looks like the original part fits like the original part. Excellent couldn't ask for anything more. For me it was easy installation.
