I usually have to replace the key fob casing about once a year but this brand hasn't even lasted a month before the plastic snapped. It cost around the same as I usually spend so not at all impressed. Will try a different brand!

Transferred all the internal parts and blade of my old, damaged and worn key, that kept falling apart, & had caused me to panic several times when I found it In pieces in my pocket! It was time for a replacement key, and, as I had all the parts of the original key, I could save myself £190 that Honda wanted to charge me for a new one. This is not a Honda original product, and is very cheap at under £6, but all the internals of the original key fit in perfectly, and I would say this is a perfect 1:1 replica of the original key, minus the Honda logo. It took a bit of effort to ensure everything was positioned correctly, and at first, I thought it was made badly as I couldn’t get the case to close correctly, but I persisted, & noticed I was to blame, & needed to pay more attention. Would recommend.

Good replacement shell, the inside components for the lock would not work and must be misaligned. Make sure you don’t lose your old one.

It was a fantastic replacement and at only £7, rather than the £140 which Timpsons quoted. I’ve had it a couple of weeks and so far it’s perfect. I read a couple of poor reviews that stated “they broke after a couple of weeks due to the force of pressure when you turn the car over. So I now know I save a small fortune buy purchasing via Amazon and not from a recognised replacement Car Key replacement company, Now, I take an extra second when turning the key over, to reduce pressure, so if an extra second out of my life saves me that much money, I’d probably allow an extra 3 seconds! So far, it’s a been a k1st Class replacement, the extra second or so turning your key is up to you. Great Product which is simple to fit too Thank you

This is a good product in that it fits the key well and works in every way. However, it doesn't stay together long. The plastic is not robust enough to coper with being turned repeatedly. I have been exceedingly gentle with it as I am aware other people have put this in their reviews, but regardless, after a few weeks of use, it starts to pop open in use. Because the battery needs replacing every now and then, the case can't be glued shut, so you are left with the option of gaffer taping it shut which is messy, doesn't work very well and looks / feels odd. It's a shame, because if they had used the right plastic or made a better catch for it, this would have been a perfect replacement.

Item was a little tricky to fit together but I eventually got it all together and fastened up nicely. It's now a little over a week old and the casing is already cracked from the torsion of turning the ignition. Hopefully there are better quality ones out there...
