40 Pint (5 Gallon) Cider Making Starter Kit - John Bull Country Cider

I think this was the perfect kit to get started with. I had wanted to try making home brew for a while and in the end decided to give this one a go. It comes with everything you would need other to get going. You need your own bottles/extra sugar for bottling but that was expected. The instructions were simple to follow and the cider made from the provided ingredients was pretty good. Probably a bit on the sweet side for my tastes but still nice. I have subsequently made other brews using the same kit with different ingredients and the kit has continued to work perfectly. Not the fanciest looking thing but it will definitely do the job for an inexperienced person like myself.

We purchased our kit and made as per instructions however in 8 days nothing appeared to be happening . Contacted seller and within 24 hours problem was sorted very happy with purchase and advised by seller to do a taste test which turned out to be lovely will definitely be buying again .

Really pleased with this kit and have used it many many times. The fermenting bin and lid have an excellent airtight seal so you can really tell what is going on via the bubble airlock. I have purchased a different bin from a shop and got no bubbles through the airlock because the lid doesn't seal properly so I always end up using this one for best brews. The cider was a bit watery as a lot of them are so would recommend dialling down to maybe 32 pints rather than 40. I use the hydrometer, syphon and spoon every time I brew cider, wine or beer, all have lasted very well. All in all, this got me started on the road to brewing successfully.

This is a good starter kit to get you into home brewing. The cider concentrate it comes with however isnt the best. In fact, I couldnt drink it. Not pleasant. I also ended up buying a heat band to help with the fermentation process which helps to maintain a constant temp. All items are well made and happy with them.

Good starter kit didnt go much on the concentrate included, bland and metallic tasting. I think there are better options if you shop around.

My husband was thrilled with this kit. The concentrate which was provided was very good quality and the cider fab! This has now sparked a love of cider making LOL. Thank you. Would highly recommend.
