LOBA DeckOil - Transparent

I am so happy to finally use this product. It’s a very nice oil that goes on easily with a brush or a rag. I think it is the best product I’ve used to oil outdoor/porch covered chairs. As you can see from the photo above, after using the transparent oil, the chair did darken and I’m happy with the outcome. The oil has a light smell, nothing overpowering and it doesn’t leave a sticky, tacky feel like some products. Very happy with the quality of this oil.

I used this to water seal my deck. It rather thin, but goes on easy . It darkened the color of my’ deck slightly. It noticed water beading up on deck after rain, so that’s is good. I only gave 4 stars as seems a little moreExpensive, then what I am used to.

Worked great to help restore our deck

This product worked well for protecting my redwood deck. I chose the transparent stain because I like the natural look of redwood instead of a color stain. Likes: 1. protects and brings longevity to wood. Dislikes: 1. The price point is way too expensive as this is the same price I pay for the top quality 1 gallon at my local hardware store.

The oil is slightly amber in color and goes on smooth, very similar to tung oil, but seems a bit thinner and easier to spread. Definitely not as tacky as tung oil when still wet. Follow the manufacturers instruction carefully in regards to temperature, sun and humidity. This oil will dry fast in full sun. It cures nicely and on the sanded plywood I tested this on, it enriched the stain color and left a sheen somewhere between stain and semi-gloss, and dried clear. Based on the chemistry is is claimed safe for kids toys once cured. I could not find any mention on if this is food safe, so I would not use it on butcher block or food prep surfaces. Although it is based on a modified vegetable oil, it still has hydrocarbons, so follow all the normal rules for flammables and rag disposal.

I'm a big fan of Loba products, I've used the easy Prime and Finish for 106 year old wood floors and it's bullet proof! I was so impressed, I used it on my butcher block countertops in my rentals and it's been perfect. I got this for outdoor furniture that needed care. I sanded them up and applied this and it worked perfect, just as expected. All Loba's stuff is pricy, but your buying professional products, not home owner junk...you get what you pay for. Definitely recommended.

Not used to this kind of lid. Started to pry it up and the whole top was moving then I saw a seam, inserted a screwdriver tip and popped the lid off. Initially the odor is not too bad. The instruction on the can did not say to stir it first but that's what I did. I applied this with my brush and it went on fine. I didn't measure but I did about 20 feet of old cedar fencing. It certainly made it look a lot better. New life for a tired old fence. Now, as you put the stain on the fence it will continue releasing it's odor. Not bad at first, but after a long stretch of fence, the cumulative smell coming off the fence, along with the open can, is pretty strong and not pleasant. The can instructions did not say how to clean up so I just cleaned the brush in mineral spirits. This is pretty expensive and not sure I would get the same thing again but it does do a good job.

A little on the pricey side compared to what you can get a your local store, but it does work well and looks great. Spreads on evenly and adds a nice look to our deck.

We used LOBA DeckOil on our wood deck and furniture and were very pleased with the results. The oil is easy to apply and increases the protection of the wood against harsh weather conditions such as rain, frost and sunlight.The certified anti-slip properties make it safe to use in work areas, and the low VOCs make it environmentally friendly. Up to 270 square feet can be covered with one 2.5 L container, making it a very economical choice. Overall, this is a good quality deck oil at a reasonable price. Full marks from me!

This deck oil is runny and easy to apply. It is best to apply this on clean and dry wood for it is to penetrate the wood and prove protection. So far with lots of sun and heat there has been no peeling and the wood looks good as new. The wood wasn’t slippery after a rainfall. This product is a bit pricey but it is providing protection (so far) .

For my backyard deck and fence, I ordered LOBA DeckOil in transparent. My requirements are met by the transparency. It is simple to use and has no strong odors. It also provides adequate coverage and protection, with each 2.5-liter tank covering up to 270 square feet. Because this is a penetrating oil, the wood must be cleaned or resanded prior to application. Of course, tools are required to open and put the lid back on.

My pressure treated deck was built newly last year and this year was the time to add a stain to it to protect it. I never really knew about deck oils but apparently they provide better protection than stains. This oil is very easy to work with and is transparent which I like so that it doesn't change the color of our deck. Our Deck was pretty much drinking the oil but a little bit is all you need with single coat coverage.

This is a quality German product that is easy to get good results with. It is really well documented, and has good coverage.The price is a bit on the high side, but this is one of those cases where you pay for quality.
