Can confirm that this works well!
I ordered a used sweater online that was described as "Very Good" and was disappointed when it arrived with so many pills that it was unwearable. (I would have described it as Fair. Hah!) I decided to break down and purchase a pill shaver, and my biggest priorities were effectiveness & not damaging my precious clothes. I scoured Amazon for hours: every single pill shaver that I looked at had people angry that they didn't work and damaged their clothes. I saw a positive review for a Homeasy shaver in a trusted publication, and finally took the risk on this one. I am happy to report that this worked wonderfully (my sweater looks great now!) and did not remotely damage my sweater. I am sure with thousands of items sold that every once in awhile someone gets a defective unit. Don't be scared by the negative reviews! I love the different speed features and battery indicator: battery life is good. I do wish the lint tray were see through, as mine filled relatively quickly. It was easy to empty/clean lint with the brush. I am happy with this purchase. (I tried to take before/after pics - hopefully you can see the pills on the before pic.)

Works great
Works great. My sweaters and couch pillows look new again. I am having trouble putting the lint trap on correctly; it falls off if it's not aligned properly. Also, I keep trying to stand it up as one would stand an iron -it doesn't stand by way. I guess it'll take a little time to get used to the 'design.'P.S. Surprisingly, it holds a charge for quite awhile. I shaved two duster length sweaters. It took me a couple of hours shaving; it was at 90% when I was done.

Sweater Shaver
Pricier than I wanted to spend but it does work great. I was looking for this item to remove the little pill balls off of an ergonomic pillow my husband uses. It cleaned it up nicely.
