Awesome and cheap mod for off-roading and towing for my 4Runner!
The 4Runner with over 300k miles then never overheated before even when towing a camper. This past trip I was overlanding and it happened two times where I had to stop and run the heaters and wait for it to cool down. It was while off-roading in Death Valley National Park and through Imogene Pass in Colorado. The cooler seems great quality and was easy to install. The fins are soft so be careful when mounting and you can always bend the fins back to shape if anything. Oh, I also bought the Hayden Automotive 106 Transmission Oil Cooler Hose to route/install everything.I know the V8 4Runners with the towing package come with a transmission cooler from factory, so I am sure it's a great and cheap add-on for anyone off-roading or towing with their 4Runner!

So far so good
Installed 12/16/2020 - First off, install was relatively easy. Took about an hour all together. The fittings that came with it worked fine, I needed some extra hose but luckily I had some laying around. I used my factory cooler location to mount this one so it looks like it’s meant to be there. I can’t speak of how well it’s keeping the transmission cool yet since it’s winter but I will update my review once the weather heats back up this next summer. My reason for installing is because I purchased a used 2005 Silverado 1500 that had a cooler but it leaked.

The size is ok. Easy to install for any vehicle. I install on my Volkswagen Passat B6 2.0 TFSIJust added 2 couplings from Home Depot and connect it to return and feed transmission pipes. Works good!

Still solid 4 years later
I installed this on my 2000 Jeep Cherokee 4 years ago. It hasn't rusted a bit and is still working great. No leaks whatsoever.

Want leaks and shoddy manufacturing? Here's were you get it.
Note, I'm an engineer who has worked for a heat exchanger manufacturer. This is an aluminum cooler like many others and most of the construction is fairly typical. It is comprised of straight tubes and u-tubes that are uniformly heated in a large conveyer oven where an outer layer of aluminum cladding material melts before the base aluminum to create a seal at the joint. This is all fine. What isn't fine is pressing on a fitting over the inlet and outlet of the tube without any type of braze or seal. Note the gap that opened up on the ends of the tubes near the fittings indicated by the clean break in black coating. This isn't a 'flare' on the end of the main tube that was added after baking, it's merely pressed on. Enough vibration from any road-going vehicle is going to separate this connection.

Trailblazer/Envoy must do
I installed it in a Trailblazer 05! Worked Great. Was easy to install by mounting it with the hoses facing down not to the side. A must in the Trailblzr and the Envoy in hot climates or towing! Goes in on the drivers side fairly easy. Contact me if you would like details of installation. ([email protected]). DONT buy expensive, this works just fine.UPDATE ! This unit sprung a leak on the way into town left me stranded in Walmart parking lot! Fortunately walmart had hose clamps, tubing and DEX VI trans fluid. I made a bypass laying in the parking lot and was able to get home. When home I wire brushed off the paint at the fitting ends and it revealed a lousy weld at an end that the paint did not reveal. Clearly poor quality control. This unit should still be in service today! I changed to an aluminum unit that has NO welded fittings and expect ti to go forever. NOTE I had their unit properly secured and not in a vibration enviroment.
