I'm not a metallurgist so I can't speak to that, and anyone outside of the manufacturer shouldn't attempt to answer that either. Call Kastking, they are very responsive and helpful, or at least they were to me when I reached out to them. If you are looking for US based reels check out ZeeBaas, IRT, or Penn (only a couple of Penn models though as they've moved most of their mfg overseas).
