These hooks work well for extinguishers with a hook-loop on the neck of the body. However, you have to ensure that the body is large enough in diameter for the extinguisher to properly rest against the wall once hung -- one too narrow will hang at an off angle since the weight of the extinguisher will pull the body towards the wall until it contacts it. My 10-lb CO2 extinguisher is too narrow and doesn't hang properly, for example.Assuming you have the proper fitment, the hook has a nice red paint job and is easy to install with the included hardware. It is a good bit sturdy and doesn't bend with typical bumps or strikes.

These are pretty strong brackets that come with screws and wall anchors, though I prefer to screw right to a stud when possible, especially on heavier extinguishers. These are not the two pronged brackets that surround the top but require a hanging loop - or some improvising to make them work. They look to be very strong for up to 40# according to the listing. I can now get that extinguisher off the floor in my garage and workshop.

Verify the support style that your fire extinguisher requires....this one is not for valve body slot fire extinguishers but for fire extinguishers with a "loop" on them. Wish I knew the technical term for it, but I don't. This listing indicates universal, but it does require a hanging loop.Construction - Heavy metal, will definitely support fire extinguishers reaching 40 lbs.Includes screws and plastic anchors which would be fine for block or other hard materials, but I would use toggle bolts for drywall installation.Overall I think it is a well crafted bracket to support most fire extinguishers out there. As you see from my pictures these brackets are good for hanging other stuff as well. These are quite heavy duty brackets that have channels pressed into them to make them even tougher than the gauge of steel already is. Unfortunately my fire extinguishers do not have the hook for these like commercial extinguishers do, so I won’t be using them for that exact application. Still whether you use them for their intended purpose or not these are excellent brackets that will hold quite heavy stuff as long as they are anchored to something equally tough. These get a big yes from me.
