I am always building PCs and upgrading them for myself, family and friends so I tend to buy a lot of PC parts. These Redragon RGPS-850W PSUs were selling for really good prices refurbished. Over the course of several months I bought for of them for really good prices, 2 black ones and 2 white ones. The last white one that I bought was of course refurbished so I got a good price on it, however when it arrived the power chord was missing and that special 12VHPWR (12-volt high power) connector to the NVIDIA GPU was also missing. I was pretty upset about it because I couldn't complete my build so I emailed the company and they responded right away with automated message and then a human follow-up. I could tell their customer service was organized. I told them my problem and they mailed out right away one connecter and the compensated me for another since they did not have in stock. I've been buying redragon products, such as their keyboards and mice as well but this was my first time using customer service. Nonetheless based on their solid customer service, I feel VERY comfortable from buying from them again with peace of mind - they got a loyal customer in me for sure! And yes, all the PSUs I bought from them are all running great, one is powering an rx 9070XT and the other a 4070 Super with ZERO issues. I like that it has a button in the back to change the RGB light or if you hold the button down it turns off the RGB all together. Also there is another button for automatic fan or always on fan setting. Solid buy, solid quality!

So let me start by saying I’m a mid 20 something’s male, so I have *some* understanding of technology mostly Xbox and PlayStation with some VR. I’ve never owned a “Gaming PC” before my current one. The only “pc work” I’ve done prior to installing this PSU for a new GPU to be installed was pulling old RAM sticks and adding new ones. I didn’t even build this PC myself (ghost gaming sky tech), it’s a prebuilt so I have no experience in PSU swaps or anything. If you just follow the instructions and actually use common sense and your eyes in the mobo/gpu/etc you will find this SUPER SIMPLE!!! I was SO SCARED I’d ruin something. The install was FLAWLESS and booted right up. I am so happy cause this has allowed me to run a WAY BETTER GPU than what came originally in my PC thanks to this PSU, it’s ran now for 2 months only being power cycled once and it hasn’t hiccuped at all. It worked perfectly with my new RTX5060 TI, and works flawlessly with the ASrock b560M motherboard, it was a phenomenal value and the length of cables were perfect for my midsize case. It even includes special connectors for compatibility with the more weird gpu’s and motherboards. I’d buy it again and it has LED lighting which ties into my whole PC theme!

Used to have an EVGA 80+ gold 650W PSU, went with a trusted brand and got a great product. Upgraded my GPU and needed more power for the whole system so I bought this 850W 80+ gold Redragon PSU. I was skeptical but it seems to be made very well in my opinion. The modular cables are great and the price was as well so I am very happy with it.

Bought this PSU in January and since May my fan has stopped working in non “smart” mode. I prefer smart mode enabled but even at low speeds it’s the loudest fan in the case by far. Other than that, it guess it works. I should have spent a few more bucks and got a better PSU. 3 stars. You get what you pay for folks. Update: June 14 2024 After seeing my review the customer service reached out to me and has corrected the issue. I had to raise my rating due to their excellent customer service. *high five* Redragon! You guys aren’t so bad after all. August 20 2024 Well, the new power supply I was sent has started to do the same thing as the last power supply. I checked on the computer yesterday and notice the power supply fan was not turning. I checked the button on the rear and is was on non smart mode and pressed the button to smart mode and off it went. No telling how long it ran with no fan. I’m seriously upset with this psu. I’ll never buy from redragon again.

Okay, this overall is the best purchase I have made in a while! At the moment there is NO noise! It works as it should, and Redragon does not disappoint. The colors are beautiful, it is sleek, everything is labelled and easy to connect and hook up. It did come with the jumper, and very specific instructions. In addition, I got the one that came with the USA plug, and was afraid I would have to buy an adapter, but nope! All you do is order the EU plug, and it is compatable! so instead of 120 it does support 220 (just incase anyone was wondering)

Overall: Working well and good value at the price I paid for it. Happy with the purchase in the end. Matches my white build very well and provides plenty of power for my 9070. Pros: Included a 12VHPR cable even tho the listing said it didn't. Quiet fan under low loads and no coil wine or thing else noticeable noise wise. Cons: The included cables do feel cheap/thin. Not sure I'd be comfortable using a high power NVIDIA gpu on the provided cable. Manual was very minimal and didn't include much information. For example it didn't include any information on how to turn the RGB lighting off on the fan. You can push the button to cycle through a bunch of preset colors but it doesn't turn them off as one of the ones in the cycle. Initially I settled for something but was disappointed that I couldn't turn it off since my case had a front mounted PSU and the light showed through the front of my case. Because of the mounting it wasn't centered and didn't really look very good IMO. I eventually decided to try a press and hold on the LED color button and sure enough that's the hidden way to turn off the LED. Even a half way decent manual would have included that information so you didn't need to guess and figure it out on your own. TBD on how long it will last and not sure I'd want to be pushing it to the limit but it's plenty for my build.

Their specs are modest and they don't brag about theoretical limits, but give you a solid baseline of reliable operation.| This is a piece of engineering excelence so I don't mind endorsing it. Fits well in many of the smaller ATX cabinets. If you plan on running two video cards, this is not the supply for you - but if you need a solid supply for a serious gamer, this supply leads the pack. It looks cool too. A button on the back lets you control the ARGB lighting effects. You won't regret it.
