The waist stays put and the garment is relatively easy to put on. The fit is as described and the sizing seems correct, As described, this is not going to flatten your tummy but rather will, and does smooth out the bumps. However the legs do ride up easily and become uncomfortable. I had to readjust them multiple times throughout the day and I was not hiking and climbing mountains here. Just sitting down and getting back up caused the things to shift. Walking any distance also had the same result.
