Then I had three kids, none of which slept well. My adrenals were depleted and drained. I never had energy or felt awake and felt sick and dizzy all the time. I took this in the morning for several months, till my hands started twitching and then stopped and I feel pretty good now **Q: Is it adrenal cortex only?** A: This is a straight glandular product make only of bovine adrenal. Nothing else. No preservatives. **Q: Can this cause insomnia?** A: This product never kept me up at night. However I would always take it in the morning. If you like to have a better product that will help with more energy production during the day you might want to try the Enzyme Process Adrenucleo product.
