This is not beginner level paint for little kids. This is professional grade paint and you have to know how to use it to have a good outcome. The colors provided are listed with regard to their opacity, because you will be mixing them together to make other colors. That’s why you were provided with two colors of yellow, two red and two blue. The opaque colors are designed to mix with the semi transparent colors in order to make other colors. I swatched this set of paint tubes out and found them to be very creamy, there was no separation of medium and pigment in the tube, it was mixed very well. The colors themselves are very vivid. The light fast information and opacity, as well as Pigment number are listed on the tubes. It is important to note that if you’re looking for 100% opaque acrylic paint that this set has both opaque and semi transparent paint in it. There are only four opaque colors in the set, titanium white, Crimson, cerulean blue, and Mars black. I did not find the Crimson color to be 100% opaque, from my own knowledge, crimson is always semi transparent, however, I was not bothered enough by that to return the set. The lemon yellow, mid yellow, scarlet, Prussian blue, and deep green, which I think looks like a Veridian are all semi transparent colors. If you purchased this set of acrylic paint, you should be prepared to do a lot of mixing, I would recommend you purchase a retarder to keep it from drying quickly because it will indeed be dry within five minutes. This is a nice set, I think the heavy body viscosity is really good for people that want to produce texture in their work. The price point is very nice. My only recommendation to somebody would perhaps be to buy a set with more colors included so that you’re not mixing paint.

Great texture, viscosity and coverage at half the price of Liquitex heavy bodied acrylics. The colors are very saturated and beautifully mixed.

Really like these paints. Nice and thick with good coverage.

For my taste, the colors were not as opaque as Liquitex or Golden acrylics. Still, vibrant colors that mix well together. Nice value for the price.
