Do note though that the rods do change colour due to the kind of steel they are. They start off a dark charcoal colour then in the weather they change to a rust-colour on the surface. They look different but are still strong and do their job. If you want a cheap fencing option, these are excellent, but if it matters to you what colour the fencing poles are be aware that these will change from dark charcoal to a rust-colour orangey brown. I’m very pleased with them and they were easy to use. **Q: How long will these last in ground? Can they be used as stakes to keep a wall lining?** A: Solid metal spikes, very robust, mine have been set in concrete. Unable to answer how long they will last in the ground, many many years I would imagine !! Not sure what they mean by 'keep a wall lining' I am very pleased with the purchase of the Fencing Pins.
