Great bag - but large
Think carefully before ordering this one. If you're genuinely looking for a bag to take a lot of camera gear and with room to spare for waterproofs, lunch, etc, then this is undoubtedly the bag for you. It has so many pockets and features that have obviously been well thought out that it really is a versatile rucksack. For the price it is, quite frankly, hard to beat for value for money. There is a 'however' though. My camera kit is a Canon 800D, and 10-18mm, 18-55mm, and 55-250mm lenses. They disappear into the lower compartment, with so much room to spare that I'm a little concerned about them moving around. The dividers could probably do with being a bit more flexible. I've had to use the dividers from the top compartment to create a cradle of sorts for the camera with lens fitted, and there's still a bit too much free play.Genuinely in two minds about sending it back for a smaller bag, but it's hard not to be impressed by the attention to detail and features of this one. Finding something as good, for a similar price, is not so easy.As I said, if you need a big bag, this is a no-brainer. If your needs are more modest, be aware that, as others have also said, this bag is big and somewhat bulky.

Finally a sensibly priced backpack for camera gear and hiking gear!
Camera backpack for hiking which actually have space for more than a pair of sunglasses and a sandwich are pretty rare or ludicrously expensive (yes, Lowe Pro I'm looking at you). However this one has space for a coat, jumper and some food and at least a camera with lens and two extra lenses and room for accessories. The fact that you can access the camera compartment from the back as well as the side, along with being able to reposition the padded separators almost anywhere, means you can take a huge variety of gear. The quality looks good (not quite Lowe Pro, fair enough) but I'm not hiking every day and it looks good enough. More of the zips could do with tags to make them easier to use (only the rear compartment has them), especially with gloves, but that's easily fixed, and at least the zips are good quality. The back padding looks pretty basic but it fits well and the straps are all a good length. I haven't carried my gear any distance in it yet but it feels comfortable enough fully loaded. Having a decent tripod (not a wee travel one) strapped to the side does make teh weight distribution a bit uneven but I imagine that's the same for most back packs. Why 4 stars? Well, although the top compartment extends to a good size (once you take the extra camera pads out) using the drawstring gaiter, the lid struggles to close over the gaiter. There's a curved flap that covers it a bit but really a bigger lid that extends further down the front of the pack (there's loads of room) would be so much better. The pockets are good but I'd hesitate to put filters or anything fragile in the front pocket as you tend to lay the pack on its front to access the camera compartment from the rear. The pocket at the top is a good size, but pulling the lid down over a full upper section pushes into it quite a bit. There's no padded laptop section, although a small one or a tablet might fit in the pocket down the front which isn't padded on the outward side, but if I'm hiking rather than travelling I really don't want to carry the weight or waste the space on one.So, overall, it's the best pack for carrying a responsible amount of hiking gear and all the camera gear I would want, for a lot less than £150-200!In the interests of honesty I would like to point out that (sadly!) I was NOT given this product or a discount in return for my review!

It's large, tough and comfortable.
I bought this a year ago, and it's been my favourite camera rucksack ever since. It takes my DSLR and 3 lenses, including the Canon 100-400 with ease. The side mesh pocket can take a water bottle, or a tripod. Plenty of space in the top section for waterproof and lunch. One feature I particularly like is the pair of buckles on the straps that take the weight of a camera or binoculars strap, taking the weight off my neck. After a year's use there's no sign of wear, and I expect it to last a long time. Excellent value for money.

Not bad, very well made, but heavy
Very well made, but very big and bulky, heavy, compartments for the camera/s could have been thought out better.Okay if not a long hike to location, plenty of room for all of your stuff

Versatile well designed camera backpack
After researching numerous reasonably priced camera friendly backpacks I have at last found one which also has space to accommodate those other belongings you need whilst out and about e.g. food, drink and clothing. The vast majority of camera bag designers seem to think you only need to store your camera and lenses etc but in the real world you don't want to be carrying another bag as well, do you?The other good thing about this bag is that it is ideal hand luggage size. If, like me, you love loads of pockets and compartments, plus straps for your tripod and some nifty little camera strap holders to keep the weight of your camera off your neck, then look no further.Early days, so I can't yet comment on durability, but it appears to be well made out of good quality materials.

but I like it all the same
Due to weather and a few other things, I have yet to take this out hiking, but I like it all the same. Fits my kit in and feels comfortable loaded up on my back and shoulders. If I remember I will update when I've actually been out with it.

Looks a great rucksack for multi use
Haven't used this rucksack yet but after opening the box it looks fantastic!Loads of storage and pockets and very easy to customise how you want to use it.It's a good size not massive which I was a little worried about, as I'm taking it on the plane as my carry on so I can take my camera without worrying about it being damaged.Only thing I would add is although it's good that it keeps its shape, it would be nice however if you could squeeze it in more so it looked less bulky when not filled, other than that it's a great bag.
