Nice, Large Size! Nice Large Bag! Folds Easily!
I like this thing more than I expected. It's about as sturdy as you'd want it to be, because any more and it would be too heavy to move around and install/remove, any less and it would be too light duty. The instructions were worthless, but it was easy to assemble. There is some spring/bolt thingy that I have NO idea how it could possibly have a function, but it seemed to be an extra anyway, because everything else necessary to put it together and install was there. It doesn't come with a hitch pin, though, just a bolt that you have to use tools to tighten. So if you want it to be a bit easier to install, buy a separate hitch pin. To make it less wobbly, it has this bent plate that tightens against the bottom of your receiver tube, and that DOES require an 18mm wrench to tighten/loosen every time you install/remove this cargo carrier, so just know that if you want to remove it when you get to your location, take an 18mm wrench with you. You could probably drive without the tension plate installed, but it will definitely wiggle around more.I love that the gate sides fold up so it's as flat as possible when storing. The bag is quite large. It fills the entire thing, plus sticks out the top about a foot. I easily put 6 large sleeping bags, 4 thick "Therma-Rest" style sleeping pads, two cots, 3 adult pairs of boots, and a small backpack, and I had still had some room at the top where I could have put more small items. With our 2015 Toyota Highlander, you can still open the rear lift hatch with the cargo carrier installed. If it's super overloaded, the door might hit the cargo you loaded unless you keep it to the backside, but with a medium load it's not a problem. However, my friend's Yukon could NOT open the rear lift hatch with the carrier installed, let alone with cargo, so it depends on your vehicle's shape, I guess. We also own a rooftop cargo carrier. This has been so much easier to install, load, and use than the rooftop carrier, and as an added bonus, it doesn't seem to affect gas mileage at all. And double bonus, the hard-shell rooftop carrier is limited to what fits with it still being able to close. This hitch carrier can be loaded as much as you can strap onto it, so if you need just a bit more room and have enough straps or rope, knock yourself out.In conclusion, yes, this thing was GREAT for the price. I love it.

Hitch cargo carrier
Instructions not the best, but did go together easily. Looks good, works good. I like everything about it plus it give a cargo bag, tie downs, netting and a storage bag for the little things mentioned.

Structurally Sound, travels well, but needs better rust coating.
Was easy to assembly, make sure you have a wrench and a 3/8-in Ratchet (size 16 or 17 and 18). We took two trips in a week, about 2k miles, with lots of rain. The bag did well keeping my x3 luggage bags and dog barriers in the storage dry. I will warn you, the only issue I had was after a week of being in the rain, you can start to see some rusting forming on the edges.I am going to clean the carrier off and repaint with a strong coat of "Anti-Rust" paint. Highly recommend coating prior to first use. Otherwise, our extended family was impressed and have no concerns with longevity of use.For reference, the carrier is attached to a Toyota Highlander Hybrid (limited) 2023 (AWD). When you are driving, you do not notice the weight of the carrier at all and you can easily open the trunk door without issue. For added safety I plan to buy the "CURT 53201 Auxiliary Automotive LED Light Strips for Hitch Cargo Carrier" for night time driving and stick them on the KAIRAY carrier. For those concerned about fuel efficiency, I can only speak on my own experience, but at worst I went from 35mpg down to 31-33mpg. Hard to say if the carrier had anything to do since I traveled through Pennsylvania and northern Michigan (quite hilly).

Happy Road Trip for Luggage!
Sturdy! No noise! Waterproof! TON of space! Folds nicely. Only issue is pin is difficult to work with when folded in the upright position when not in use. Drive from Austin to California and back with zero issues. You donโt need the yellow ratcheting straps. Buy a lock PIN bolt though so they canโt steal it easy. We fit one large luggage, 3 carry on luggages, foldable wagon, queen air bed and another bag. But can fit probably 3-4 large luggageโs upright OR 6+ carry ons. I was worried about luggage being secure but after my 1,200 miles X 2 road trip from Austin to California, Iโm very confident with this carrier. The walls are higher than most on this carrier and they go inside a waterproof bag that is strapped down to the luggage carrier. You can fit more than what you see in my picture, I was just being conservative with my first road trip with it. Itโs a cool package that I would highly recommend.

Worth it
It was easy to install and held up very well. Took it on a trip to the mountains and didnt have any issues, didnt wobble or make any noise in our 9 hour drive. Only issue I had, of my own making, I went over a large bump too fast and the straps fell off. The bag was waterproof and resilient. Went through rain and snow, everything stayed dry.

Doesnt hold 500lbs, predrilled holes dont match up, rusting after 2 uses
Out of the box it looks very nice, its very heavy, bag is great, straps provided worked well to hold it to the frame, ratchet/bungees are ok net/lock are cheap/flimsyWhen putting it together the item itself is heavy maybe 70 lbs thats without the bag straps etc. the paperwork states the entire hitch is rated to hold 400lbs max.The pre drilled holes on the base and the pin are not lined up right so when you go to to fold up the unit its takes some finagling to get the pin through. For the price tools to put it together should come in the box also, too awkward to use with household wrench, need larger socket wrenchesAfter using it 2x camping noted some rust spots on the hitch already

Quality amazing
Was amazing for our first trip. I couldn't get the 1st hole to line up because of my beefy spare tire, so I used the second position. Worked fine, was a little concerned about the sag, but no issues at all. Quality is amazing and the bag is really tough. I had a giant cooler in it and had to roll it back and fourth to drain ice water and didnt get any tears.

Better than what I expected
This cargo basket is huge and spacious. This is my first basket. Easy to put together despite the instructions having micro letters where even a person with the sharpest vision would need glasses. Anyhow, it looks great on my 2016 Chevy Traverse. It does wobble a bit and it feels like the main support is in the center of the basket so you definately need to have even weight distribution. My only gripe is my rear lift gate would not clear the basket unless I pull the basket rail forward a bit force bending the basket a little. It's a bit annoying if you need to access your cargo trunk space for something. Overall, I'm happy with it but I may just go with the small rails if I ever do replace this one. I'll provide an update after my coming road trip and review how the basket held up.
