Can you use this for Xbox 360 and Xbox One ?

Doe's this hard drive come with a connecting cable? i don't see that info listed anywhere and i don't want to buy an extra cable if i don't have too.

Yes, the 3TB Silver Ultra Metal came with a USB 3.0 cable but it is EXTREMELY short, like 12 to 14 inches short.  For notebook/tablet use the cable is fine but for a desktop I would highly recommend using another, longer cable or buying one if you don't have an extra, longer one.  With the one that came with it, I had to lay the HDD on top of my tower because it wouldn't even reach from the top USB port on my tower to the desk which is less than 8 inches from my desk.

What's the difference (besides the look/finish) between this and their standard WD My Passport  2TB 3.0 External USB  drive?

The regular WD passport is a plastic shell with different piece for top and sides I believe, or thin metal and plastic. This is a heavier one piece brushed metal case which covers top and sides- only the bottom is plastic.

hey dogboy73  good question I looked on the WD site but found no specific specs for the speed if bellevuebum is correct it is 5,400 rpm I looked at the performance of it as I transfered  files not prob the fastest not too slow either(though I see things as this do not be in a rush be deliberate and accurate) see a lot of people having issues that might be of there own doing I transfered music files and photos  and movies as seperate files not at once ie: folder for the movies ect... as I was not and am not in a rush  when I backup I looked at how it performed. below in the right lower task bar there is a remove hardware icon that when used will allow u to safely eject the drive w/no issues or drive error or freezing thats killer to me i found the drive to be affordable and usable out of the box (3 downloads and done its auto so no fuss)no specific specs on WD web site for speed unless I missed something so I have no idea how bellevuebum obtained the 5,400RPM I do not assume that he is wrong I can say I am replacing some drives that will not work (DO NOT REFORMAT OR YOU WILL LOSE ALL FILES SAVED STAPLES OR THE MAKER SHOULD BE ABLE TO EXTRACT THE HARD DISK AND YES IT WILL TOAST THE OLD EXTERNAL BUT YOU WILL GET FILES RECOVERED OR DO A RECOVERY PLAN GIVEN YOU DO NOTHING AND DO NOT TRY A REFORMAT LEARNED THAT THE HARD WAY) I think you will be satisified with the drive as I am I do not need fast I need accurate and fundamentally sound usage that I can depend on and can take with, So I can say myself that it is an awsome external drive and I will get another one soon as well as 2 non portable 3 tb WD drives the reviews were great, as with anything sometimes the user can cause the most trouble not the devise (learned that too the hard way) so if youre not a immediate satisfaction person and not expect rocket speed for a portable drive grab this it will satisify youre needs it is small and I recommend a hard case to transport thats shock proof hope I was helpfull in making a decision  overshot my response but hey its free and honest not much in life is   they really need to advertise the speed though some people have a need for that  I do a complete check on the reviews everywhere I can then make a decision all else fails return it as non satisified and try another one hope I help'd some
