Mirror Dash Camera 7 Inch 1080P IPS Touch Screen 170° Wide Angle Dual Rearview Dash Camera, Car Dashboard Recorder with Parking Monitor WDR Loop Recording

Prior to purchasing this dashcam I'd bought and returned a couple of others. They worked but they weren't exactly what I wanted. I got this to use primarily as a rearview backup camera when I'm moving things that block my mirror. The front dashcam was an added bonus and performs really well.Pro's:1. Beautiful, large, responsive touch screen.2. Both front and rear cameras record simultaneously on a loop.3. Easy device setup.4. Back up camera works perfectly once you get it wired.5. Parking and gforce detection in case your vehicle gets hit while parked.6. Provides a wider viewing area than my stock mirror. Also has a nice tint to it th at doesn't interfere with nighttime driving.7. Auto on and off function. Several different viewing modes including rear, front, split, and pip.Con's:1. Vague instructions for setting up rear camera as a reverse cam.2. Wiring for rear camera needs to be longer. I was short a couple of feet and had to splice in more wire.3. Dedicated charger instead of usb.If you want the camera to trigger automatically when the vehicle is in reverse you'll need to splice in the red wire to your reverse light. All I did was shave off enough of the plastic to exppse the wire running to the reverse bulb. Then I removed more of plastic from the trigger wire so I'd have a decent amount of exposed wire to work with. After that it was as simple as putting the two in good contact and wrapping them with electrical tape. If you choose to skip this step you can still bring up the rear camera manually but you won't have guidelines.

I first emailed the company as the email is displayed on the ad to see how well customer support worked in order to ask general questions before buying the product and was amazed on like a Sunday night a real live person emailed me right back and answered all my questions immediately and thoroughly and said they would always be there to help if I bought their product and help with any problems. That did it for so I ordered 2 for my friend and I then and there and best purchase I could have made. I had bought another brand a year ago for the same price at the big box store with just one camera and it never kept the right time, could never figure it out, its windshield holder fell apart and it was like going from a basic to a luxury car in product comparison. My friend who owns a cargo van was thrilled he can now see how to back his van up and what is coming up on him from behind. MY friend put a magnet on the top of his back cargo door to hold his rear camera so he can easily move it inside or if he wants to relocate its aim. I put my rear camera on the top of my back brake light inside the rear windshield in my car as I didn't see a need to install it outside for backup purposes since my car is so low anyway. Plus in FL with heavy rains I didn't want to expose it to our torrential rains and hurricanes even though I know its waterproof as I love it too much and want to keep it for a long time. I can easily move it to the next car I buy. I personally don't know how they can sell it for cheaply for all it does and the quality it offers for the price but my friend and we both said it was the best XMAS present we could have gotten for ourselves. Oh by the way I had recorded a multi car accident with injuries in front of me with my previous dash cam model and shared it with the investigating police who were so grateful and gave me their personal card in case I ever need help as it made their job easier and made me feel happy to do so. We are all in this together.

The product itself is well made, very easy to use. The only issue I have with it is the storage capacity. It can only support up to 32GB. I mean, you can try to use 64GB but it's no guarantee. The other problem I have with it is it saves the files as AVI format which consumes a lot of space. For example, a 5 minutes video will take about 1GB. If you have 32GB, that's only ~160 minutes of footage before it loops itself. Now factor in if you're recording the rear camera at 720p, the file size is less but it'll definitely suck up more space. Sure you can switch from 1080p up front to 720p but that only saves you 200MB each file so that's not much. I really wish it would save the format as MP4 or something similar.Now you might ask why do I need more than 2-3 hours of footage.. if you drive for 6-8 hours everyday, you really don't want to switch SD cards every 2-3 hours.. it gets old fast.

Quick touch response. Nice picture quality of the back camera for a 720p. Great wide dash camera everything I see with the naked eye is what the screen shows if u play around to adjust it perfectly. Easy to install and any hardwire might be needed for super performance. Works great. The mirror looks great, camera takes great video, and it's very easy to operate. My only 2 issues are that the camera lens could be slightly more adjustable. With the mirror in some positions it's hard to get the camera angle correct. And secondly there should be an option to not have the options screen come on when the car starts. It's not a big deal but you do have to turn it off before you can use the mirror.

I LOVE THIS CAMERA! It is very easy to use, right out of the box.. The size of the mirror is perfect, along with the 7 inch screen! When the car is touched, while in park, or a loud noise is made outside, the camera pops on, within seconds. About 3 weeks ago, my neighborhood had car break-ins. I park my car adjacent from my daughter's car, where our driver's side meet, and when the suckers were going around checking for unlocked doors, they pulled my daughter's door, and the noise triggered the camera, and they kept going!!!
