Amazing powerful Sound, Lightweight & excellent Endurance
Amazing unit for use as a guitar playing vocalist. The sound is both rich and huge. Battery life seems to be very acceptable- used for about 4 hours already on mid power level and still more than half life left in rechargeable batteries. I would recommend that a spare battery case is purchased so that if being used for a gig, it would be a simple and quick operation to swap over battery packs ( two finger screws) rather than fiddling about trying to insert new cells in the existing pack. I bought a couple of spare packs online from a music store. The only complaint I have is that when using an external music source (backing tracks) such as iPod etc using the dedicated input, the sound from this input is rather thin and tinny ( no EQ available). I am currently exploring the use of a separate battery powered EQ unit to solve this. For info, the microphone used for my testing was Shure SM58 with soprano vocalist. Guitars used have all been acoustic electric and include Taylor 814ce, Tanglewood TW4 KOA and Walden T550CE. All sound fantastic with crisp highs, warm mid range and rich powerful bass. So far so good. More to follow as usage experiences build. Please note that the supplied photos are taken of the unit housed within the optional case which is subject to separate purchase.

A really good quality amp for busking and small venues.
The amp is reasonably light and ideal for busking and small venues. 50w of power via the power cable or via 8 rechargeable batteries. Quite a long performance life using the batteries and there are 3 settings to enable battery saving. The best thing is not having to use a built in rechargeable battery (which always end up giving you problems) but simply using 8 ordinary AA rechargeable batteries. Sound quality is formidable with EQ settings on the two main XLR/Jack plug inputs and reverb. The instrument input has a selection of good effects for guitar, including chorus which is really nice. Very pleased with this item so far. it can also be mounted on a speaker stand via the slot on one end of the cabinet. Way, way better than the cheaper alternatives.

Lightweight and sounds lovely!
Bought this with a view to busking in the summer, so itโs not had a trial run outside as yet but itโs light and sounds lovely. I bought the carry case with it which is great. I busk as part of a duet with two vocals, acoustic guitar and keyboard so I was worried that there wouldnโt be enough inputs to accommodate. Iโve found that it can be achieved by using one vocal into the first XLR input as normal then using a splitter cable with XLR to jack for the second vocal and standard jack cable for the guitar. The keys work from the line in. The downside is it negates the guitar effects (unless you want a bit of delay on the guitar and vocal - not chorus obvs) but thereโs still reverb which is good enough for a busk. I have a mixer which can be run from the Street Ex to create more channels if Iโm to use it for a small gig etc.

A quality product with a quality sound.
I love this product and will no doubt be buying another to double up on sound coverage. I havenโt used it on batteries and so cannot comment on how well the amp performs, or how long the batteries last. I have however tried it at home and the sound quality and effects are far superior to the cheaper powered speakers on the market. Iโm glad I spent the money on this because lm certainly not disappointed and I wholeheartedly recommend.

So far it is good but not mind blowing
I thought long and hard about buying this. There are mixed reviews out there. So far it is good but not mind blowing. The vocal and acoustic guitar sound is very good. I like the sound of the reverb. It is bulky but quite portable. Only 2 XLR inputs so if you have two singers or singer and backing vocalist you lose the acoustic guitar input although you may be able to use another input. For example you can input the guitar thro aux or line inputs but then you lose the effects (reverb, chorus etc.) and levels preamp which only effect the XLR inputs. I haven't tried that yet. Alternatively you need a mic mixer. I got the Roland mic mixer and it works well into input 1 (you need a stereo cable) then guitar into input 2. The battery power on the mic mixer isn't great so that as a stand alone battery operated rig I think it is a little limited if you want multi vocalists and guitar. Maybe I expect too much but at the price of this amp I kind of want a lot. Overall I think it is a good product if pricey but before buying you need to think carefully about whether it will do the job you want.

Brilliant Portable Amplifier
I already have a Street Cube Ex I use it in small to medium venues as a solo Folk/Irish Singer/Instrumentalist I have played in front of audiences of about 100 people, this amp does the job with ease, I was always told to allow about a 1/4 watt for each person in a room, so a 50w amp is ideal. However I am going to be gigging in larger venues so I purchased another of these to join together to give a total output of 100 watts. This is a brilliant amp full of settings I don't use but at least they are onboard. I play acoustic/eclectro guitar, tin whistle and harmonica, I produce my own backing tracks. So I mainly use reverb for voice and other setting on guitar to give it a different sound especially on ballads. Example I will use a slight chorus and delay to give the guitar a beautiful sound. I heard this live at one of the Dubliners concerts some years ago when their sound engineer did it for Jim McCann when he was singing Carrickfergus. Finally Best amp I have ever owned and this Seller is excellent the product arrived factory sealed and very prompt so I highly recommend this Seller.

Disappointing middly sounding amp thta's a one tick pony!
Having owned this amp I found it excellent for vocals and Acoustic guitar but totally a let down in other areas. The main problem is the frequency response is geared for vocals and acoustic as already mentioned; a tight cut off on low frequencies and big boost in the midrange (adds volume). This made the amp very nasally & boxy sounding (try plugging in a keyboard or mp3 backing track. In this setting it simply falls flat. Also, the DSP seems to be based on old tech with the worst sounding harsh electric guitar tones ever. We know the amps been around for years but to have not upgraded the DSP in that time is disappointing. For it's primary role of being loud in the mids then this amp delivers but for backings like an mp3 track forget it, you will be disappointed. For the money it's overpriced unless you're a Boss fan!

Versitile amplifier
Excellent adaptable amp. I've only tried it out at home but it sounds great with electro acoustic and I'm sure will be at least as good with electric. Delivery was quick.
