New Path Designs Live Fish Tower (Standard)

Really awesome addition to any aquarium! I had seen a lot of DIY videos for similar fish towers and tried to make my own with little success (tried an upside down vase which did not end well at all...). I had been searching for a commercially made one but couldn't find any that were reasonably priced and sized specifically for aquariums. This one is amazing, it comes with 3 sets of bases so it can fit into any number of tanks with your desired depth/height and includes locking mechanisms to secure it to the rim. The best part though is the air outlet at the top, using the included electric air pump makes filling the tower really simple and fast (unlike sucking the air out via a tube re: my upside down vase experiment which ended in a horrible mess). The size of the tower is great for most aquarium fish and the included guide/instruction book outlines everything you need to know from installation to recommendations for the best types of fish to use for different setups. Overall very impressed with the quality and the fish love it too, especially my guppies.

I bought this tower with great enthusiasm for my 30 gallon cube fish tank. Putting the tower together presented some challenges, but I succeeded. I placed the tower in the fish tank and followed instructions to get it filled up. Once it was full of water the fish started migrating toward the tower. However, one problem keeps persisting: how do I stop the water from being released back into the fish tank and cause a flood? Any ideas, suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Took 3 weeks to arrive.Assembly was easy and parts are beautiful.The problem: there are two screws required to lock the valve in at the top. However one of the holes was not properly threaded and the screw simply fell in the hole and did not secure the valve, thus it did not hold water. I did not want to deal with the return process and it took so long to get here I fixed it myself by finding a bigger screw. This is a critical hole that needed to be perfect to hold the air in. Kind of ruins the aesthetic… Hopefully my fix works because it truly is a beautiful addition.1 star for critical failure point1 star for beautiful conceptEDIT 7/27/2023Original fix did not work, so instead I just shoved a tube in the hole, covered entire hole with silicone, then added a ball check valve to connect hose to pump. This is impressive, there are some things I would differently now that I have it. You can put ledges inside but need to do that before it’s together.Good news is shouldn’t be hard to do again at some point.Cons: one of the legs was not drilled correctly it was hard to reach the seller. I just needed a replacement leg, instead I had to get another one.Pros: easy to put together, great directions, you may need a second pair of hands to help hold it while installing, build is simple. Size is perfect!Would buy more.

Fantastic piece. My betta and minnows swim up and down it a few times a day. I've even caught my shrimp and snails going in and out if it.
