Only loses a star because the USB power is pretty inconvenient, I don't really have the USB ports to spare, but I understand the device needs power to function, it would be nice if it could come with an 'in-between' connection of some type that can leech power from an existing source, as some controller charging docks have done. Also, I don't know if it's a problem with this converter, or the switcher I am using (which I have left a review for), but connecting this to a hdmi switcher, then to an elgato capture card, and finally the TV, the wii does not output sound any more.
