The author continues to build strong and unique characters amid the tensions of conflict emersed in supernatural powers. I look forward to the next book in the series.

From the start, Bax has captivated my heart and mind with his desire to become a better person. Sometimes life is so dark, and throws up so many obstacles for him, as it does for all of us. At these points the desire to step away and return to the old pattern of behavior seem the easiest option. Despite this, Bax continues to stand up, shake it off and keep moving forward! This grit and determination he shows is an amazing experience to be a part of!Life seems to finally be moving in a great direction when Bax is faced with his toughest situation yet. I am looking forward to the continuation of his journey as he faces the biggest of all evils. Hopefully that will be soon!! Hint hint.... Please be soon!If you like a really well written story, characters you would be happy to have as your own friends or family, and a storyline that captures you from the start, then this is a series you should not miss!!

So glad I found this series and this author! Got pulled in from the very beginning. Hope there are many, many more to come.

Elites is the third book in The Bax Mysteries written by Patrick Hodges. A mix of new adult, mystery and psychic exploration, this series is quite clever and the characters are full of depth. Bax is fresh off being involved in helping the police solve two huge mysteries, and he's just hoping to finally get to live his own life. Fate has other plans, and immediately, he's asked to use his intrinsic talents to locate a missing boy. When he quickly solves that case, he's keen to try to help on another, but this one will be a much tougher problem to solve. After all, it ends up to be über personal to him and his family. Readers will learn a lot more about Bax's parents, including what The Agency had to do with them in the past.War is coming among the elitist class of psychics, but no one knows it. Bax is unfamiliar with this world, but when he touches an object that belonged to someone important, he can clearly see what happened to the latest victim, and he now understands how significant his discovery could be. Too bad the epic battle between different sides has decided he's critical to their success. Hodges weaves great storytelling in and among the various scenes, offering a touch of romance, family bonding, career planning, and lessons in trusting again. I really enjoyed the sharp dynamics between Bax and Natalie, especially the growth in their relationship between the books.I'd falsely assumed it might simply be a three-book series; based on the ending, that's definitely not true. While a major arc in Bax's story comes to a sweeping conclusion at the conclusion, another is launched. Bax has a tough decision to make, one he has been battling with throughout the last two months. Given all that he accomplishes and deals with in this book, I can only imagine his life is in for a tremendous shock. Double agents. Strangely drawn battle lines. Vengeance from someone he crosses. Eagerly waiting for book four to be released.

As the world of special ELITES begins to unfold, Bax begins to understand the bloodline he’s from and what it means for his future. As Bax unfolds his special abilities in the third book, he realizes that he can also communicate with other family members. Bax, who had been estranged from his mother for most of his life, and raised without a father, comes to find out that his mom is dying and his dad.... Before his mom took her last breath, Bax makes peace with her and finds out that he and his dad were targets of a much larger and international problem than he imagined. Follow Bax on dangerous adventures, as he exposes clues, murder and international corruption involving a special coin in the world of Elite criminals. Waiting for book 4!!! Just can’t get enough.

Whoa, Bax’s life takes a dramatic turn in book three when he offers his psych services to help solve the latest murder mystery. The mystery surrounding his abilities and family also greatly intensifies, and d**n is it good. This one just might be my favorite in the series thus far. So many twists and turns in this one and I am all for it. I can’t wait to see where it goes in book four.

Loved the 1st book, the 2nd even more and 3rd book even more. Can't wait for book 4. Just loved all the characters laughed and cried with them all.Fantastic series.

Book 3 leaves me needing book 4 as soon as possibleWould highly recommend to anybody any age groupYet another book series Patrick has got me hooked on
