ISOtunes Free 2.0 True Wireless Earbuds - Hearing Protection
I am required to wear hearing protection at my workplace. I have tried several types / brands of bluetooth enabled hearing protection. I like each type I have tried, but by far these are my favorite as there are no wires to catch on anything while I am working. Another set I have has the wire that goes around your neck, but I had a tendency to catch the wires at times due to working around machinery or with my hands etc when performing work duties. I have a set of ISOtunes earmuff style hearing protection with bluetooth. They have great sound, durability and range from your phone / bluetooth device, but due to the size I tend to bump into things when working on machinery. They are also much hotter in the summer weather (NO AC at work) and also tend to get somewhat uncomfortable over time as they are held on your head with a slight squeeze like pressure. This tends to push some on the ear lobes too. The ISOtunes Free 2.0 is so much better in terms of comfort. They are like using a typical push in type hearing protection plug and fit snug into the ear canal. There a re a variety of plug tips that come with the earbuds so just about anyone should be able to get the right fit. The range from your phone / bluetooth device with these is surprisingly good considering they are just a tiny earbud. I can walk about as far away with these from my phone as I can with the earmuff ISOtunes set I have (About 50 or so feet). I have read other reviews about some folks complaining the sound is not loud enough, but I have had no issues for the most part. I work in a noisy environment and can hear mine good enough to listen to podcasts. If you work in an area where the noise level is so loud you could not hear anything form these, it might be a wise idea to wear protective earmuff over top of these anyway to protect your hearing. If you are used to wearing earplug type hearing protection, you will enjoy the comfort of these as well as the sound quality. Sound is pretty good for such a tiny earbud. Battery life is better than expected too. I listen to podcasts, not music, so there may not be as much drain on the batteries when using them. They will get me through an 8 hour shift without having to place them into the charging case. The battery in the charging case has always lasted my a 5 day work week on a charge. This being my second ISOtunes bluetooth device, I will say I am impressed with their quality so far. I have had this set now for about 6 months and have not had any issues so far. I would definitely recommend these for anyone needing hearing protection and would like to be able to listen to music or podcasts from their phone / device.

Know The Actual Purpose For These!!!
Know The Actual Purpose For These!!! (Long Rant Then My Review) I've seen so many reviews about these that say "they're too quiet" or "not loud enough" Well, it is true that these are quiet. That's for a reason! These are for protecting your hearing! Why do you buy ear protection? To protect your ears by lowering the noise levels of your surroundings in a work or loud environment. Right? So why would you use ear protection to lower the noise levels and then want to crank your music back up to those unsafe levels!?! People think that earbuds are completely safe and can't damage hearing. WRONG! They may not be loud, but they are pushing the sound waves directly into your ear. This allows them to produce unsafe sound levels just like most other audio devices. All that being said, yes these are quieter than most other earbuds, but that is for a reason. These are hearing protection! If you want loud earbuds look at ones that are just that, EARBUDS! NOT hearing protection. You put these in and they cut the ambient sound levels by 22dB and give you the convenience of being able to listen to music or whatever. Again, why cut the sound levels by that 22dB then expect to be able to bring your music back up past that level? At that point you are subjecting your ears to the same damage as if you were to not wear them at all! These are for the job and for people doing work! Now for my review of these when used for their actual intended purpose. If you're tired of using plain old ear plugs when working in a loud environment and are tired of hearing your own breathing, heartbeat etc, check these out. I use mine for lawn work, metal fab, wood working and other loud activities. These have worked great so far. They do a great job at cutting down the sound from my large mower (John Deere X758) my table saw, grinders and other tools. They do have very good sound quality even at the lower volume level they produce. I can clearly hear all my music, but as said before, you can't blast these things. Take some time to try out the difference foam earplugs/earpieces to find the best fit. Squish them down with your fingers them push them into your ears and hold them there while the foam re-expands. Do this with the earplug/earpiece attached to the unit, don't just shove the foam plug in your ear by itself... This will help them completely or nearly completely seal in the ear. Try them without any loud noise and you'll hear the sound quality these really have. They do come with 3 sets of foam earplugs/earpieces (these are for protection) They also come with 3 pairs of regular silicone earpieces (these can be used just for listening, not for protection) The battery life is great. I've gotten over 9 hours out of these once or twice, but on average 6-7. The case they come with is very nice. It also charges up and can recharge the earbuds about 3 times. You can actually get some good distance with these. My old ear protection was the 3M Worktunes and I could only get 10-15 feet away from my phone at best (this was fine for me though) With these Isotunes I can get over 30 feet away sometimes, this seems to be dependent on the streaming device being used. The "noise canceling microphone" used for phone calls is not very good though. Pretty bad actually, so if you need these for making calls while mowing the lawn or running a grinder... Not so good. I don't take calls while I'm working so this was of no issue for me. Take some time to read the very basic manual to figure out the buttons. Yes the have control buttons. The whole center section of these is a button, the left has its own function controls and the right as well. Just sit down with the manual and try out these buttons and functions BEFORE trying to use them while working. This is not a safety issue, more of a tip to keep you from getting frustrated with them. It took me less than 15 minutes and I had all the controls figured out. Overall these have been working great. Just know what these are actually supposed to be used for and you'll be happy with them.

90% perfect
I bought these after Stumpy Nubs recommended them. I have zero regrets. I’m a carpenter by trade, so my everyday environment is quite noisy. As ear protection, these are perfect and the sound quality of music/podcasts is great. Full bodied sounds, not too high or low. They are plenty loud enough, I never have trouble hearing my music no matter what tool I’m using and there’s peace of mind in knowing that I can’t turn these up so loud that they’ll further damage my hearing. Whenever I take calls, it couldn’t be more convenient to continue working while I have a conversation but here’s the downside: you can’t work. The caller on the other end will not be able to hear/understand you and they’ll Complain that the noise is unbearably loud. What’s worse, if you’re in a bathroom or small room it seems that the reverberation/echos of your voice make it so the caller can’t understand you. They say they can hear me, but they can’t understand anything I’m saying. I thought MAYBE I just had a defective pair, so I sent them back and got a replacement but the issues staid the same. It’s also worth noting that the customer service is 5 star. They really are great. So in conclusion, these were worth every penny, but I really wish they worked better on phone calls. More often than not I have to switch over to using my phone because my caller cannot understand anything I’m saying if I use the ear buds to talk through.

Manage your expectations
When I first got these they were a solid 1, maybe 2/5. The sound quality was not great and there was a low static background noise when they connected to a device. Also, they didn't fit well. So why 5/5 now? Because they work and do everything that they need to do. After figuring out how to actually put them in there is a noticeable sound reduction. Not a lot but it's there. They are okay for music but work best for listening to the radio/podcasts. That low static sound actually helps drown out the sounds that do get through like a white noise machine. They fit well under a pair of ear muffs and are not going to provide a pure silent listening experience, but that's the point. They have a Noise REDUCTION Rating, not a noise stopping ability. I mostly use these for landscaping, so mowers, weedeaters, chainsaws, ect. With a good pair of ear muffs it comfortable and I'm not blowing out my hearing. The connection does drop then immediately reconnect sometimes, but that seems to be normal for Bluetooth devices when they get knocked around. On a side note these are wonderful in an office full of people who are constantly talking. Really drowns out the sound and helps me focus without cranking up the volume.

Dont waste your money
I bought these for work about 2 years ago. I work in a somewhat loud environment. They offer good hearing protection with the foam earbuds. The microphone for talking on the phone totally sucks even when there is no noise around you. Nobody on the other end can even hear you. The battery life was ok in the beginning, lasting around 7 hours with constant music playing at full volume. After about a year, you'll be lucky to get 3 hours of battery life before they die. I wouldn't recommend. Im sure there are better ones out there. I just have to find them.

Comfortable ear protection
Update 1/12/25: after using these for a bit over a year, I still consider them a decent option. They seem to provide decent hearing protection from things like small engines, workshop tools, etc. My biggest complaint is the earbud tips - mine have ended up cracking the plastic insert and separating from the earbud itself on a few occasions. This has resulted in the tip remaining stuck in the ear when removing. So far, I've been fortunate and able to fish them out with tweezers, but beware as others have mentioned, it could result in a trip to the ER if you're not so lucky. Original review: Bought these for use in my shop. Was tired of constantly putting foam plugs in and out throughout the day, so figured I would try these. The IsoTunes earbuds came with a variety of tips to get the fitment just right and they do a nice job of fitting snugly, yet remaining comfortable for longer periods of time. Bluetooth is easy to pair and sound quality is quite good. Overall, they've been a nice upgrade for working with power tools and lawn equipment. Put them in and forget about 'em.

Best earbuds I've ever owned as a metal worker
I was hesitant to buy as I've never spent this much on a set of earbuds but after receiving them I'm glad I did. I am a metal fabricator and wanted a set of noise-canceling earphones to still listen to music but all the over-ear ones I own don't fit under a welding hood and interfere with safety glasses or grinding shields. These fit great in the ear and feel like a set of regular earplugs. They are lighter than I thought and don't shake out of your ear even with a lot of moving around. The sound is clear and has good bass for the size and most important to me is they aren't screaming loud in your ear by design. I read some reviews about them not being very loud.....but that's the point....its hearing protection....from loud things... The music is still plenty loud in-ear combined with the noise-canceling of the earbuds, its just not as loud as other wired earbuds that you can damage your hearing with. I'm younger so I think it will be a good thing that I cant blow out my eardrums cranking the sound to 11 as I do on all my other headphones in the past. They work just like a set of earplugs and deadens all the hammering, welding, grinding, drilling, etc really well. The charging case is cool that it has a magnetic hookup for the earphones and the case carries a few extra charges. It's pretty small too so I can put it in a pocket without it being obnoxious. It was easy to pair with my phone and the instruction manual explains how to click the left or right earbud for different functions like volume and play/pause. I will say the button placement on the outside is a little odd as you have to press the earbud into the direction of your ear to get it to click. The button pressure is pretty light though so it's not like you are jamming it into your head to skip to the next track or pause the music. The first battery charge for me lasted for about 6.5 hours of straight use at max volume before I took them out to recharged. really impressed with that. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and recommend it to anyone that needs hearing protection and wants to be able to listen to music, calls, podcasts, or whatever you like.

Buds don’t fit in charging case with foam tips any larger than small applied.
The reason I’m giving these awesome buds a 2 star review is because 1, you can NOT fit the buds in their charging case with tips on that are any larger than the smallest ones they come with... this is quite the engineering oversight and actually highly surprising for a product that has served me so well. 2, the max volume ceiling, just like the on isoTunes pro cannot be adjusted, which is normally fine but these are set pretty dang low, especially in comparison to the isoTunes Pro. There should be an overide. If I want to blow my earsdrums out, that is my business. 3rd after a few months of use, the buds seemed to have unpaired themselves and no matter what I do, following the reset instructions ect, I can not seem to get them to both to pair anymore. Infuriating. While these are actually A LOT more comfortable and not have the cord in between buds like the isoTunes Pro is awesome, I rank the isoTunes Pro model as far superior. The pro’s - These are really great ear buds for working in extremely noisy environments. They are tough, the sound quality is great and the battery lasts as advertised - a long time / 8 hours on full charge.

Excellent!
Awesome headphones. Bluetooth connection is flawless, sound quality is excellent. If I had to be picky (and I mean picky) they could be a tad louder. They are loud enough for me, and I suppose it’s in my interest for them not to be any louder!

Great for working
I bought ISOtunes Free Wireless Bluetooth Ear Plugs (NRR 22) after seeing Kyle from RR Building (youtube chanel) use them. They're great. I do a lot of handyman work which requires lawn mowers, power saws, nail guns and other noisy tools. The ISO Tunes are really great. Comfortable and long lived charge. I'm really impressed and will only use my ear muffs for chain sawing and really loud work.
